This is a great idea! You get to look into the eyes of the person you're talking to. But in actual use, it doesn't work with anything but the smallest webcams (my Logitech 9000 is too wide). The ball-on-a-post kind work OK. Additionally, for it to work, you need a very small screen. Otherwise, the view of your friend in Estonia or Chicago (or anyplace else, for those of you who take everything literally) is too far down the screen for the (fixed) lower mirror to catch. I wanted it to also act as a teleprompter, which would be fine if the mirrors were larger and adjustable...But, alas, they are not. I am building my own, with the lower mirror separate so I can simply lift it off the screen when I don't need it, rather than discombobulate the whole thing, and lose the camera over the back of my computer desk and into the valley of the lost, etc., whenever I try to mount or de-mount this thing. It does work - if you get everything just right AND you have a small screen AND you use the "Pop-Out" feature of Skype, or something like it to position the other person's image behind the lower mirror. Otherwise, it is a waste of money.

I picked up two of these for Skype calls on both my laptop and my desktop. First, I should have just bought the one specific to laptops as it is exactly the same unit except with an slot for sliding over the laptop screen. The laptop version even comes with instructions for using it with a CRT. Second, it is clear that I am going to have to buy a new webcam. I have a Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision SE, which it doesn't work with. The webcam needs to sit high on top of the monitor and has to be centered (the Ultra Vision SE balances on the front edge of the monitor and the lens is towards the left side of the unit). It also doesn't work well with built-in laptop webcams (e.g. my MacBook Air) without having the lower 1/4 of the screen cut off by the body of the SeeEye2Eye. I really wish the slot on the unit were deeper so that less of the lower edge were chopped off. Despite these big shortcomings, I can see immediately how valuable this product is. Just doing a quick video check in Skype, I was naturally looking into the camera instead of down at the screen. Once I find the ideal webcam to use with this device, I'm sure I'll be using it all the time.

Just does not work with an iMac and a Logitech c920. May it would work on a smaller computer. Just does not go far enough down the screen to see anything.

I purchased this teleprompter as I do a lot of webinars and record bits of video for presentations via my webcam. Some of my talk is slightly technical and I don't always remember my "lines" they way I should, so keeping eye contact (at least appearing to keep eye contact) was tough for me and I felt it lessened my presentations.

This product works as advertised and has really been a boost for my video. At times, people will watch some of my presentations and wonder how I can talk so confidently without notes! Of course, I am looking at my notes all the while but still looking right into the camera.

My concerns are these. The unit does not provide a large amount of screen coverage area which means that the are of notes that I can see in the prompter is fairly limited. I do a pretty decent job of scrolling them down with a mouse while I talk, so I can ultimately see my notes much like a TV anchor might see them, but the font has to be fairly small to get an appreciable bit into view.

Second, I have a Logitech C910 webcam which is pretty common these days and I use it mostly in a 16:9 shot aspect ratio. Without some jerry-rigging of the camera and the prompter unit, the edges of the camera view are blocked by the prompter. It seems that the prompter design was built more with a 4:3 shot ratio in mind and perhaps for smaller webcams.

All in all, a slightly larger version of this unit is probably a better choice for me and I will explore that in the future. But for now, this device works rather well and I cannot say enough about how much better my work has been with it.

This little periscope fits nicely on the top of my flat screen LCD monitor, and does exactly what it advertises: Places a small reflection of my Quicktime screen right in front of my Webcam, so that when I record messages, or tape guitar lessons for online students, I actually appear to be looking at them instead of something low on my screen. My videos are much warmer and more personable now! I was surprised to find such a useful tool at such a reasonable price.

My video image as shown using the Eye To Cam is very grayish, almost B&W, being that the color saturation is extremely low.
I bought the 4K version, yet it provides by far the most crudely pixelated video image I have ever seen.
I have a new computer monitor so obviously the glass is immaculate and free of dust, however the suction cup falls off of the screen within two minutes.
I didn't set mine up for a few months after buying it. In trying to contact the company through their website I see that they don't provide a contact link or any contact information.
If you don't mind that you will find it useless and will dispose of it along with torn plastic food bags, dust from your vacuum cleaner, and excrement from your dog, then buy one now.
