Design, Glaze, and String Your Beads Together

With the Crayola Model Magic Jewelry Boutique, you and your friends create your very own jewelry designs. Choose from a variety of Model Magic colors, including Pacific Blue, Tropical Rainforest, and Razzmatazz, to make swirling patterns and textures on your beads.

Making the beads is easy. You begin by twisting colors together to exploring various color pairings. Once you've chosen your colors, roll them into cones or disks and cut them into shapes. Next, you dry them and glaze them with the shine you want. When you are finished making your beads or charms, string them together to make a piece of jewelry.

Create Earrings, Charm Necklaces, and Charm Bracelets

The set allows you to make your Model Magic creations into earrings, charm necklaces, and charm bracelets. Along with the supplies to create the beads, this set includes the clasps, posts, cords, and charm settings necessary to make your beads into accessories. When your beads are complete, you can string them on the cords to make bracelets and necklaces, or attach them to the posts to make earrings.

Refine Your Skills with the Studio Workstation

With the set's studio workstation, you'll find new ways to refine your bead- and jewelry-making skills. Use the bead caves on the workstation to start your beads, and then place the Model Magic on the spinner plate to achieve your desired swirl effect. Keep your bead in a cone shape, or use one of the cutters to create a dangling charm. To add a little bling, use the included sticky gems and attach them to your beads.

The Peacock dryer keeps your beads together while they dry and prepares them for glazing. When you're done with making jewelry for the day, store all your materials in the workstation's handy compartments.

Easy-to-Follow Instructions and Tips

The set comes with illustrated and written instructions that help you grasp the basics of bead and jewelry making. Helpful tips inspire your creativity, so you can bring new color and flair to your jewelry collection.

My 8 year old daughter received this for Christmas. She really loves it, has almost used all of the clay out of it already! That's the only "complaint" I have of this product is that there really isn't a lot of clay provided with the package. Lots of different colors, but not a lot of actual clay. If I knew that, I probably would have purchased the refill kit to go with it, but no big deal! Both of my kids (girl and boy) love this toy. They've both made some pretty cute beads and jewelry with it so far.

My granddaughters are 7 and 8. We do crafts together all the time, many are crayola brand. I got this for them for Christmas plus extra refills.
The instructions for this were jumbled and confusing instead of the usual step by step. It was frustrating for all of us and is sitting on a shelf wait for me to find another use for the modeling stuff.

I got this for my daughter and another for my neice. We opened it up right away and within minutes we were making beautiful beads. It was easy to use and each bead is unique. I wish there was a better way to measure so every bead was the same size but I guess thats just another way each bead is unique. My daughter is very happy with it and can't wait to make more beads.

My daughter received this for Christmas after seeing ads for it on television and really wanting it. She is a very artsy/craft type of girl and likes anything hands on like this. We played with this today and it was fun, but you have to let the clay dry over night so it's not a quick and easy sit down and make a necklace or bracelet type process. You make the beads or design the charms how you would like them, put them on a drying stand or waxed paper and let them dry over night. After they are dry you apply the glaze to make them shiny and then the product is finished. Would not recommend for children who expect instantaneous results and expect for the jewelry to be complete right after they are done making it. Older children 9+ years old with more patience will probably enjoy it more. The product itself is easy to use and durable. I didn't like that there was not enough containers to hold the amount of clay they include. They include 4 built in containers with lids for the clay, but they include about 6 or 7 different colors of clay so you have to find other air tight containers of your own to put the other clay in.

This was a birthday gift for our granddaughter and it was a great concept for making the bead jewelry, but one of the lids for the tubs was cracked when we opened up the box, which was disappointing from the start. The part with the handle that you attached to rotate around to make the shape of the beads was challenging enough to use for me as an adult much less a small child with small hands, as it was really difficult to rotate the handle while needing to press down at the same time. One side of it seemed to always hang up while trying to rotate around making it lopsided and difficult to turn evenly. It didn't appear to be sturdy enough for applying enough pressure and not crack it at the same time. I very was disappointed for my granddaughter as she had picked this out for us to give her and since she lives in another state and I didn't have enough time to re-order in time to celebrate her birthday when she came down. The materials were flimsy and not as sturdy for the pressure that needed to be applied.

My 8-year old girl really likes this kit a lot. Though it takes a little more time (at our apartment temperature & humidity, about 16 hours) than instructed for the material to harden, she has kept at it and looks forward to making many of the articles possible with it. Our first bracelet was a great success, she just needs some help making the holes in the "dough" so they are not too big. Ranked in her top tied-for-best Christmas presents.

I thought this looked like a fun gift for my daughter - but as seems to be the case with Crayola, products are hit or miss; and this one: well it is a miss!!

It's a nice idea - make your own Jewelry and comes with clay that can be used to fashion beads, little jewelry fixings and a wheel which is supposed to help blend the clay in order to make swirl colored beads!

But there are some problems, major problems in fact that make this fun, but render the end product useless!

First the little jewelry spinner does mix the clay but you can do just as good a job taking two or more colors and rolling them between your hands. Then you make the little beads by forming a circle in your hands, which means no uniformity and odd shaped beads - now granted this is no big deal as this is a kids homemade craft project; but you run into issues when you make the hole in the bead and leave in on the hanger to dry - the clay stretches out as you make the hole leaving an even odder shaped bead!

The big issue however, is that these beads are supposed to be left to dry during which time they harden so you can glaze them (glaze included) and kids can use them to make a necklace or wear using the included fixings...only they do not harden - not in the sun, or the shade, or the fridge or indoors! In fact, Play doh that is left out accidentally hardens better! The clay s soft, doughy and cannot exactly be glazed so the end result is no wearable jewelry for the kids and this becomes a one time use then throw it kind of product!

Crayola has some great ideas but sadly , once again, they fall apart in execution!

This doesn't even kinda maybe work. My daughter and I made these, dried for 2 weeks and they still weren't hard. Total bust.
