    Was looking for light weight shoes with adequate toe box for walking. New Balance is known for a good size toe box on their shoes. Went to a New Balance store and was told that this model was new and very popular. I was able to hold a pair and liked the weight or lack of weight in the shoe itself. The store did not have my size so I found them on Amazon. They have lived up to the store hype! My toes do not go numb and I hardly know I have them on. I like not being aware of my shoes!! Support is great!
    Color is usually an issue with us women and these are a lovely blue lavender with silver. No obnoxious colors that scream at you and go with just about any outfit. Overall, I am completely satisfied with these shoes.

    This is the 3rd paid of these I have bought. Love the NB shoes because once you know which "last" you need for your foot, shopping is much, much easier. Just look up shoes that have that last and go from there. If you are on your feet a lot these have great cushioning and support. If you have problem feet or toes the toe box is very roomy. I recently experienced in my left foot a serious condition called Charcot Foot and my orthotics professional was able to take the left (brand new) shoe, split it open on the bottom and mend it back together with more width to accommodate the brace I must now wear the rest of my life. I love these shoes and wear them every single day.

    I recently bought a different pair of New Balance shoes that were too tight in the toe area. Working out was uncomfortable and my feet just hurt. I bought these shoes for the roomier toe area and the fact they came in wide and I love them. My toes do not hurt and my arches feel supported. I recently wore them to Sea World and after 10 hours of walking around, my feet were still comfortable.

    The shoe is extremely comfortable. Rarely can I find a shoe with good cushion for the ball of my foot. Most only address the heel area cushioning. After reading reviews, I expected it would fit my foot orthotics and I wasn't disappointed. The shoes are a bit loose without custom inserts and might even have a little too much height in the toe box for my personal foot. Considering I typically need a higher toe area and have a bunion on one foot, this amazes me that I think I might have extra room in the shoe. The blue, isn't really blue. It's more of a lilac color in my opinion. If you wear inserts, have bunions, or just simply have a larger, wider foot, these shoes are for you.

    I purchased a size smaller and had to return them thinking that it was just the wrong size....they just don't fit well. Very bulky for a running shoe....more of a walking shoe. Sorry that I purchased them now.

    The only BUT about these walking/jogging shoes is that the inside of the shoe around the sides of the ankle bones is such that after about 3 months the purple liner self destructs. I believe this is a manufactured defect. I returned my first pair to New Balance headquarters for a replacement but subsequent shoes have done the same which is very disappointing because I like the fit and comfort; they are lighter than they probably look by just looking at pictures.

    I bought the 846 while on vacation in Orlando FL and thoguht i was lucky because of the great price but after about 2 weeks my feet were swelling and my legs from the soles of my feet to my hips ACHED! i honestly thought something was really wrong with me because it couldn't be the shoes since they were practically brand new but i got these shoes in the mail 3 days ago and my goodness i have done a full 180!
    I wore these shoes for 10 hours at work and for the first time in 5 weeks my feet didn't swell to tre trunk size, my hips and knees didn't give me any problem and my toes didn't go numb.
    I love and adore New Balance but i hate that they get rid of so many great shoes to only replace them with something less comfortable i just hope and pray these stay on the market for awhile however i did notice that the inside of the shoe was stamped as a classic so i hope this is not a special release since some of us New Balance folks need the shoes for more than athletics.
    I have heel spurs and Plantar Fasciitis and New Balance are the best shoes for me.

    UPDATE:
    I thought i loved these shoes and i think that if you are not overweight you would love these shoes but i am and they only lasted a few weeks before my feet began to ache again so now the search continues!

    This WR84 did not meet my hope for a comfortable shoe. I had desperate hope that it would work for me since it was USA made. I had been wearing the WW928 very comfortably, but when I received a new pair, they hurt my feet so badly that I could hardly walk. (Different vender) Knowing that consistancy and quality control for shoes is better in the US, I searched for New Balance shoes made here. I have a difficult foot to fit (12AAAA) and my narrow feet can feel minor differences in sizing and construction. My feet are also hyper sensitive to cushioning because of arthritis (too many fractures/injuries) and I work in a hospital where I'm on my feet all shift. I am so very disappointed that these shoes didn't feel comfortable--my right foot is slightly longer than my left and often my toe is against the end of the shoe. Unfortunately, New Balance doesn't make women's 12.5 and men's shoes are much too wide. I have ordered the WW812--the only 12AAAA made in the USA I can find--but I'd like to have a different style to give my feet a break. I've worn New Balance shoes for years but they're making too many abroad and the design, sizing, and comfort is failing me. Amazon is still my #1 shopping choice for just about everything because it is a secure, user-friendly, highly convenient site.
