Does not exit cleanly. Even after displaying an exit confirmation dialog box, and verifying i wanted to exit the app, it continued to run. After the first time playing the game and exiting, i re-opened it only to find the game had continued in the background and i had "died" and returned to the beginning of the level. I played a second time, and quit again (confirmation screen, verifying i did want to exit, etc.). A few hours later i picked up my phone, and (since it had been on battery) i noticed a warning from the battery monitor app that while the screen was off, the phone had been awake for 99% of the time! The battery monitor told me that 98% of that time the AudioMix activity in Draw a Stickman had been keeping a Wakelock preventing the phone from sleeping. A task manager verified the app was still running, continuing to use up to 3% CPU on the phone. App has been uninstalled.
This is one of the best written and most original games I've ever seen on a mobile device. Bravo! I can only say that it is a necessary addiction (pun intended) to your mobile game collection. The game plays like a work of art. The last time I have seen a game this artful and beautiful was Okami for the PS2 (still the best console ever made and until you've played Dragon Quest 8, Final Fantasy X or Shadow of the Colossus or even Devil May Cry (any of them) and Silent Hill (1 and 2 especially), the list is ridiculously long for amazing games for that console... in fact I must also mention any of the "Tales" series of Japanese RPGs, or any Japanese RPGs for that matter ... then don't argue with me lol). Nothing on mobile can touch the PS2, yet. However, this game plays very much like a PS2 game, it has that originality and fun factor that was and still is so dominant on that console and that's why this game so amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. It really is epic and it really is genius.
Wow! This is the most unique and creative app I've seen in quite some time. It is quite a lot of fun. You interact with the game by drawing things within the environment. For instance use the fire pencil to make a fire that burns whatever its near including potentially you. There are lots of little puzzles to solve to unlock every level and find all the puzzle pieces. Can be challenging in a good way too. I just love the little stick woman and I love the creative aspect of this game. I got it for free but it is definitely worth a few bucks more so than almost any other app.
EDIT: The only downside is its too short. I finished it soon after writing the review. I thought there would be more after I finished the first page of levels, but there isn't. I wish they would add more levels, because it is really cool.
I purchased this game for my sons, ages 6 and 9. We all thought drawing your own stick figure to use in-game was a ton of fun. My boys would constantly re-draw their figures and laugh at all the new creations.
I did not play the game, but watched a bit of the gameplay. It looked to be pretty entertaining, it is a puzzle-type game of interacting with the game environment. It looked to be fun to play, but both my kids quickly tired of the game and I don't think they have played it after that first day. This is out of character, they rarely lose interest in a game so quickly.
The game is cleverly done, and worth the few bucks to buy. The gameplay itself seems a little easy. It does foster creativity, which is always a plus.
Draw a Stickman EPIC has got to be one of the best games I have ever played. This game is different in that you actually get to interact with the game by creating the objects in the game that you use. You could more closely relate this to a puzzle type of game, since there are different ways that you have to figure out how to solve things without accidentally killing your stickman. You draw the stickman that you use, and don't be disappointed by the limited colors at the beginning of the game because you can find little guys called color buddies throughout the game that you can use and redraw your stickman. This game is fun, time consuming, and hilarious! Each time my little stickman dies there is a message that makes me laugh on the screen such as "not flame retardant" as just an example. I recommend this game to anyone that loves drawing (your drawings do NOT have to be perfect to work right, so even kids can play!) and puzzles. The game also has a storyline built into it and there is a section in the game where you can go back and read the story, so it's like getting a bonus book with the game. Great job to Hitcents, I look forward to more games that involve interactivity like this in the future!
I love this game and was excited to play it on my tablet but it's unresponsive and doesn't even let me draw a stickman on the first screen. It seems to not recognize that I'm trying to draw. Doesn't matter if I try to draw with the stylus or my finger. Please fix. I rreally want to play this!!
Gets 2 stars because it's a cool game (it plays on my HTC EVO 4G LTE) but no more stars because of the tablet fail. Will revise Review if fixed.
I don't play too much games on my phone, but have played a fair share of console games. This game is very thought out and polished. It runs great, smooth and it's the first time I've seen something this original where you create your own items. There was a console game that had this idea, but the name escapes me. The design on the game is well thought out for the mobile screen.
Me ha sorprendido. Algo diferente! Sólo he jugado unos minutos y me ha encantado.
