Moreover, they work well for fruits and deli meats, last longer than stay-fresh bags, and save money by reducing food waste. The containers store nicely inside the largest container, though opinions about size are mixed, with some finding them roomy while others say they're too small. Additionally, the lids don't fit well according to several customers.

I am aware of all the negative reviews, but I already have a couple of sets of these of the large box type and I love using these so much. Yes, the cover might feel cheap, but the end result is that our fresh produce lasts longer and still feels crisp and looks beautiful. I admit that I do extra steps to ensure that the food stays that way. First, I place one layer of paper towel (usually a 1/2 sheet) on the bottom of container and one of top of food prior to placing the lid. Condensation happens naturally so it might end up on the top towel instead of on the food. Every few days, I do wipe down the inside of the lid with a towel and, at times, I'll even wipe down the inside of the container. I think it depends on the food on how much condensation it creates. I don't mind the small amount of time it takes to do it. Food will rot if the food is moist and/or the condensation does not get wiped down. I don't like the fact that see can't see inside either, so I just write the contents down on a small sticky sheet and tape it on. No biggie. These containers work, you just have to give it the attention it deserves. It's worth it as we consume a lot of fresh produce and it never gets thrown out.

LOVE using this product for my fruits and veggies. I even use it to store my bananas in so that they don't get too ripe before I can eat them. I cannot tell you how many bunches of bananas were discarded because the last 3 were too brown to eat. So far, we have been able to consume all of our fruits and veggies without having to discard them because they have molded. Every couple of days I check the container to see if there is any water buildup and just use a paper towel to wipe out the moisture. Would like a couple more size options for larger families or bulky items however, other than that, they work great, easy to clean and store easily.

I don't know why there are such contradictory reviews here. All I know is I ordered from Amazon, sold by Amazon, not a 3rd party seller and the product I got was exactly as advertised, not as large as I would have preferred, but they worked amazingly well.

Sometimes I forget to take out my compostables to the worm bin, but these amazing containers kept the mold from exploding literally for months while unprotected portions of the same kitchen waste became steaming fruit fly clouds of expanding liquified mold blossoms in only weeks.

I imagine the materials may not be entirely nontoxic, so be careful especially if you are using them for food. I would not use them to store food for small children, elderly or ill people but for compost or food that is self sealed with discardable peelable skin like mandarin oranges, potatoes, bananas, etc, it would be less of a concern, and after all, what are your alternatives? Unless you use glass, ceramics or steel to store your veggies and fruits (how many people do that?) then you are storing them in plastic and all plastics are toxic. The entire inside surface of your refrigerator is made of toxic, potentially carcinogenic plastic just for perspective, and the grocery store likely sold you your veggies in plastic as well. Just something to think about.

Nonetheless, the product I got was exactly as advertised and has amazing powers to keep food from rotting for long periods of time if it's not soaking wet. Lowering the temperature of your refrigerator by 5 to 10 degrees can make a huge difference as well, especially in summer.

I agree with reviewers who write of the fragility of the lids.
They are not brittle but they are very susceptible to warping so do NOT boil them, bend them, or put them in a hot dishwasher. They will warp if overheated or forcibly bent, but that's a small problem considering what they can do.

I can only assume that many reviewers here purchased the item from third party sellers because with Amazon as the seller I had no problems whatsoever. But I always worry about amazing new products.
Always wash fruits and veggies before cooking or eating. Maybe someday soon someone will invent some kind of totally natural ceramic fresh keeping containers, and I will buy them up.

Until then, I'm ordering more of these "martian tupperware".

These wonderful containers work just the same as the always fresh bags (they're made of the same material) but are more convenient and much easier to wash. I line the bottom with a paper towel and that seems to help a little bit as well. Produce lasts a lot longer than it would in the crisper or an ordinary tupperware (lettuce keeps 2 weeks instead of spoiling in 3 days!)
While they're top-rack safe, I prefer to wash them by hand, to avoid soaking the material in harsh chemicals. They really only need a good thorough rinse, anyway.
The containers and lids fit inside each other like Russian dolls and only take as much space as the largest container.
One minor issue, the lids are a little floppy and can warp a little; but that's probably because of the special permeable material they're made of, and it doesn't prevent them from sealing properly. I've had mine for over a year and they've been perfect (buying a second set today!)
Instead of spending a fortune buying from the infomercial, you can now get it on Amazon (with Prime shipping) at half the price.
    Very highly recommended.

I ordered these because I was trying to lengthen the amount of time I can store produce, in order to save some $. I should have kept the $10 I spent on these! They seem like such a great product, I'm sure they would be if they *worked* but they don't really. Anything you put in has to be totally dry, any moisture actually causes the green container to get mold on your food *quicker* than normal. The only thing I found it somewhat helped with were bananas. I tried things like carrots, celery, strawberries, apples (sliced), tomatoes, etc. I kinda wish I had listened to the other reviewers and not spent the $10, but I thought I'd give it a chance. Of course, I wasn't aware of the "no moisture" rule at the time. Hopefully this helps someone else save their $, trust me when I tell you it isn't worth it.
