The clones are your standard troopers from 2007-2012, with the Sergeant given an unique green print. The facial expressions are the same as past versions as well.
The Droidekas are unique in that they are the closest minifig-height destroyers made so far. Unlike the Sniper Droideka from the AT-RT (75002) or the old version from Naboo Starfighter (7877), which are double the height of a standard minifig, this one is just about right.
Due to the smaller size, you do lose some details, such as having a spherical arc back that more closely resembles the film's (see 75002).
The hover vehicle has more details than the Sith Speeder from 75001, which is priced the same (but has 4 minifigs instead of 2) - so I guess that's the tradeoff. It has a concealable missile on the back, right behind the sitting cockpit, and more pieces overall (~80 vs ~40 for the Sith speeder).
If you're a fan of traditional clones, want to build a clone army, or want the new Droidekas, then this battle pack would be a great choice.
If you just want more minifigs or entirely new Star Wars troopers, then I would suggest Set 75001.

Competitive price on retired set
This LEGO Star Wars Clone Troopers vs Droidekas shipped right away even though it was later delayed en route. A hold-up on a train caused it to come a day or so late, but that was not the seller’s fault. When it finally arrived, the box was in good condition, and the legos were exactly as described. My son immediately sat down and enjoyed putting the kit together. Out of the dozens of choices, my son chose this one because of which Star Wars movie it came from. Also, this set is retired now and difficult to find, but this seller offered a competitive price. It came with a green officer trouper, a clone trouper, and two droidekas. After my son follows the included directions, he usually transforms the item again. He and his friends have had fun playing with this set along with the other Star Wars ones in his collection.
