Professionally designed with toddlers and pre-schoolers in mind, Farm 123 pays special attention to learning reinforcement through the introduction of gently progressive games that help your child cement their grasp of the numbers 1 to 10 and the core concept of sorting.
Farm 123 makes learning to count a magical experience in a series of dazzling, fully-interactive scenes. See the cow jump over the moon, pigs make a muddy splash, and eggs hatch in spectacular fashion!

It is easy to see why this educational app won awards. A list of a few of the delightful features follows.
- You can set the book to read at your own pace, or you can set the book on autoplay and have the story read to you. - By pressing on the globe, you can change the language. If you want to encourage your child learn a second language, this is a very nice feature. - The graphics are beautiful and eye-catching on the surface of my Kindle Fire, and the pictures have the illusion of being three-dimensional. - The music of, "Old McDonald" plays softly in the background. Parents aren't likely to get tired of listening to the music, even if it is played for hours. ;) - The screen is interactive. Farmer Jo counts off the number of animals on the screen as the reader touches the correct animal. - The actions are mostly animal-appropriate. On one screen, seven rabbits jump down a rabbit hole and then seven carrots disappear into the ground. One exception to the reality theme is the cow jumping over the moon, a la the nursery rhyme, "Hey, Diddle, Diddle." - The animals make noises that help children learn the sounds made by each animal. - The game also includes seven different counting games. Children can earn colorful stars for finding the right number of the correct animal. Pressing on the wrong animal will earn a red x. Since the animals move arolund the screen quickly, this is also good for teaching hand-eye coordination. The computer keeps track of the stars earned, and the player can see all of the stars earned from the main menu. (The stars can be reset.)
All in all, the free app of the day is sure to delight the young children in your life.
Cute interactive app! I like that the book can be read to your child, or your child can play on his own. The animal graphics are fun and grab my son's attention. My only complaint would be to add screen lock options so my child can't easily exit the app, which he does too often.
This is a very cute little app. My daughter is not quite two yet and therefore can't navigate my phone or even count yet. But she loves being able to tap on everything and have it make sounds and actions. The autoread feature is great because it goes through the counting, still allowing her to touch and interact with what she wants without stopping the activity's progression. She's a little too young for the games, but they are creative and educational. The graphics and sound are great too. This is one of the better apps I've seen for toddlers and even babies. A++
My three year old daughter loves this game! The bright colors and sounds really got her attention and she squealed with joy everytime she got a star. A very good game for kids than can get too addictive.... she played it until the Kindle died and then threw the biggest fit ever when she couldn't play it anymore.
This really is a fun little app for toddlers and has some fun counting games. It has a read to you mode where the kids can just see it counting and then a mode where you have to touch the animals to count them and you have to turn the pages. Even the 2-year-old likes it, and it does funny things like if you press on the farmer, then she says funny things.
There are some fun counting games where you find or wash the animals at the end. It really is a cute little app and I highly recommend it for younger kids, by about 4 they might look at it and get bored, but 2-3 should really like it a lot. Even the 4-year-old looks at it, but it's a little young for him.
This app has no reason to require full network access, and because of that permission my daughter won't be able to use this one unless I'm doing it with her. Even when we're playing together, in kid mode where I've collected a wide range of appropriate apps for her, we strictly - ALWAYS - play in airplane mode because so many apps (even paid ones) have adult advertisements pop up during play in WiFi. Hope StoryToys will adjust their intrusive, unnecessary permissions!
Good little app that my son likes to play with to learn numbers. Has sounds, little moving graphics, makes him laugh. At least he plays with something that should help him learn a little and not just racecars and skateboards.
The game looks very cute and educational for preschoolers but, it requires full internet access. I don't understand why a game like this needs that for. Beware.
My 20 month old grandson loves this. So bright and colourful. Great animation. He never tires of this. Helps with the counting. It would have been a good idea it the animals changed colour when he touched them so he was more aware of which ones still to press. It just turns grey. But a minor thing. Great app.
My daughter loved this to help her learn her numbers. It looked a tad repetitive to me, but hey, it was my daughter's opinion I'm going by, and it kept her amused for ages.
