I rarely write reviews, but as this pillow has few, particularly when compared to the Mediflow water pillow (which I have also tried), I felt compelled to expound on the virtues of this pillow over the water pillow competition. As a result of some cervical issues causing pain and tingling in my right arm, I was looking for a more comfortable pillow. The displacement panel in this pillow (which the competition does not have) makes all the difference. This prevents the "wave" effect you would otherwise get (and which you get from the competitive products) when you move your head on the pillow. The competition is like early water beds, in that the water sloshes around (regardless of every attempt to eliminate all air bubbles from the pillow), creating a wavelike sensation along with significant noise from the sloshing not found in this pillow. As far a the comfortableness of the pillows, this one was rated superior not only by me, but by my wife and daughter, all of which have differing pillow preferences. Despite these differing pillow preferences my wife and daughter now want me to purchase this pillow for them as well as they agree that it is the most comfortable pillow they have ever tried. I would give this pillow a 5-star rating but for the snap-cap closure used to seal the pillow when filled with water. Though it has not leaked the design is such that it could more readily pop out (leaving you with a wet head and bed). The Mediflow has a screw-type cap which appears better designed and safer in the long haul. However, I'll take that risk (and apparently so will my other family members) given the other superior features of this pillow.

Water moves to the area of least resistance, with this, the water moves to the opposite end of where your head is. No support of any kind. This is a completely flawed idea, extremely heavy, with a push in stopper that popped,
spewed all the water out in milli seconds, it should have a screw in stopper. Completely flawed design.
Years ago, I bought a " water bed " I should have learned my lesson from this ridiculous concept. The same concept is used on those late night TV commercials " called memory foam " again, there is no support, the
flimsy foam rubber flattens to nothing. Yes, there is a memory, it stays in the no support, flat shape.
Remember those " bean bag chairs " supposedly a revolutionary idea....it stayed in the squashed shape and
when it popped, it blew the styrofoam bead stuff all over, all at once.......

Im designing a pillow, cool to the touch, supports your head, wraps to your features, will not lose it's shape,
lightweight, a pillow, within a pillow, within a pillow, within a pillow etc etc. 7 pillows in total, with zippers, to add
or remove any one pillow or more. And most of all, it will be comfortable.

Product was adequate. Quite pricey though considering you're purchasing a bladder for water with a sub par pillow on top of it. I have used Mediflow previously and prefer it to this one imparticular. This one helped with my neck/headache issues for about 3 weeks then I readjusted water fill and am continuing to be dissatisfied because no matter what I do it doesn't give me good sleep. Sometimes bladder gets kind of wadded up under the pillow, so that's weird. I haven't had any leaking issues as some have; I try to check the seal often to prevent leaking. It wasn't a great fit for me. Contacted the company, they told me to contact Amazon (even though they emailed me directly asking how the pillow was working out for me).

I have the core D pillow at home and don't go anywhere without it. However, I just started a job where I'll be traveling many days out of the week, and taking the pillow along just isn't feasible. So, I thought I'd try this. First, the pillow that it fits inside is way too large to travel with. It's great for at-home use, though. Second, it's not easy to fill up the pillow and it gets VERY heavy, once full. By the time you put it inside the pillow, you can hardly tell it's in there. To me, it would be better just to buy the core D pillow. Anyway, I decided to try filling it with air (blowing it up myself). And though that works pretty well, it just doesn't fill up enough in the middle where my head would be. I guess I'll keep searching for another solution.

After a significant injury to my head and neck, the neurologist told me I needed this product if I wanted to wake-up without neck cramps. While I thought it a bit expensive for a pillow, I bought it. I was genuinely amazed when I woke-up without pain and cramps in my neck. It works best for me when I sleep on my back, so I just learned to sleep on my back because it is so wonderful to wake-up rested and pain-free. I got my first about 7-months ago and got another one as a back-up should the first one ever fail. It's not a cure-all product, I had to change the way I sleep, but it is so worth it.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the pillow. I had been informed from a practitioner that this pillow was incredible as used by the doctor himself. However, I didn't have the same experience. My roommate and I actually couldn't get enough water into it to get rid of the air pocket, so it never really achieved the firmness I had hoped for. That and the fact that it was a complete nuisance to try to lift it once we got in as much water as we could for a extra firm pillow. It took two of us because it was that unwieldy, and with less water to make it easier to carry, I can't image what kind of soft pillow that would have left me with. I left it on the window ledge for a few days hoping it would get sun and dry out, and it's been in storage ever since. If I am able to return it or even exchange it for another product, I would be grateful as the money I paid for it does me no good in storage.

I am female, 5 ft and weigh 100lbs. The cushion without the water filler is already too high for my neck. Since I've opened it I couldn't return it. So, I have wasted the money spent on it.
