- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2016This past year I have been in charge of purchasing smaller gifts for the Sunday School students who have had perfect attendance. For the last gift of the year I wanted to give something a bit nicer and also something they could use throughout the summer.
I had been looking for a journal of some kind, but my dilemma was I had children as young as 4 all the way to 8th graders. What could I get that would not be too childish for the older kids, but something the younger could use as well? Then I saw this Bible Verse Drawing Journal.
Each page has a word along with the Bible verse listed where the word can be found. There are 50 words: anchor, plans, love, lies, joyful songs, seasons, thankfulness, bread, for & against, thoughts, always with you, courage, wings, eyes, house, walk, fruit, trust, children, author of faith, rock, fight for you, heart, redeemed, knowledge, treasure, gift, rejoice, strength, gates, harvest, gossip, worry, beauty, waiting, teaching, healing, believe, lamp, paths, fear, the world, kindness, integrity, sinners, bitterness, temper, mountains, creation, and grace. The pages are blank except for the word(s) and the verse where the word can be looked up. The cover is a thicker paper, but not a hardcover.
My thought was a child could draw something, journal something or even do devotion of some sort. If the child was too young to look up the verse themselves then the parent or sibling could help. I have had a few tell me they thought the books were quite nice.
These are wonderful journals/drawing books and I would purchase them again if needed.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2015I kept one and gifted the others. They all seemed very satisfied as do I.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2016Don't make the mistake I made. This is NOT a journaling Bible. This is merely a book with a bunch of basically blank pages and a simple word and Bible verse at the top of the page. I misunderstood the description. One could easily put together their own journal with some copy paper, a computer, and a printer at a much cheaper cost. Don't waste your time or money. Make your own!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2016Not quite what I was expecting. Would be great for maybe 4-8th grade. I bought one for myself and my 3 adult daughters. It might be more satisfying if there were more scriptures and subjects to journal about, and maybe a small lined section in the margin for writing notes. Love the idea, though!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2016A Christmas gift for my nephew. He loves it. It is very good quality too.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2016This wasn't what I thought it'd be, but, I should have read the reviews on it.. Blank pages with a Bible verse at the top.. Plenty of room for you to Illustrate the verse.. Pages are thick enough so some pens will not bleed through.. I do not suggest magic markers, I recommend high end pens like Micron... Great book to pass time ..
- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2016Love the simplicity of this book. Great tool for kids, if youll help them learn the word, and freedom to draw!

3.0 out of 5 stars cahier

1.0 out of 5 stars You can print your own version for half the price and it would look a whole lot better. Yes it's really that bad.
Ok so this only cost £3, I should have realised that it wouldn't be much and well, it wasn't. Described above as a 'simple' journal it is literally a few sheets of A4 with one word and a bile ref at the top of each page. You could print it yourself and make it look better, the author didn't even bother to find a decent font (ugh, Times New Roman, this is the 21st century...).
I notice you can actually now 'look inside' - when I bought it all you could see was the covers. Check out the one page you can view - this is all it is. No colour, no frills, no nice inspirational thoughts, one word per page. And as for being a drawing journal? the paper is so thin even an HB pencil will show through!
Seriously don't waste your money... (even if it is only £3).
