I bought this POV-Pole to use as an extension to shoot film while skiing.

It is very versatile & can be adjusted easily.

The pole can be locked in position so there is no movement. I tried a cheaper pole & when the camera was mounted it would just spin around.

The pole is well made & the loop is good for securing the pole to your wrist.

The POV Pole is excellent for filming yourself skiing. You get some great shots.

A very good accessory for the GoPro Hero Camera.

If I we're you I would not buy this pole! It broke when I sat down for lunch with it in my hand not while I was Snowboarding thankfully.

The plastic GoPro attachment part at the end of the pole snapped inside the extendable pole. It is a very weak and bad design, It is not really robust enough for the purpose it is supposed to be designed for.

I am currently trying to get reimbursed for the pole.

I did love this at first. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend for travelling. At first it was great and worked perfectly. Took it everywhere. We used it in the sea a few times and rinsed it afterwards with fresh water to avoid sea water damage. Unfortunately after less than a month's use while extending the pole, it separated in the middle, rendering it broken and useless.
The build quality when it first arrived and first uses, is great. Good length and nice grip. Just unfortunate about the durability of the pole extension set up

This is an excellent bit of kit for the GoPro. The price is good compared to similar products on the market and the build quality is also really good.
I've only used it once so I will reserve judgement on how robust it is and how well it copes with wear and tear.
All in all I'm very happy with it.

The plastic connection to mount the camera is far too weak for its purpose, and it broke in two places on it's second day of very light use...

Either a defective version, or a major design flaw.

Quite disappointed with this, as it feels like a well made and attractive product otherwise.

    It's great!
But it says 36" but when it's fully extended it gets to about 28", only with the rist rope , clip and gopro mount & gopro , will it reach 36"

5.0 out of 5 stars El mejor stick para gopro
Reviewed in Spain on 14 June 2014

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy, better than Evo
Reviewed in the United States on 27 January 2015
I picked up the 36" POV pole because I wanted something a bit longer than the GoPole Evo 14-24" that I had been trying out. I'm so happy that I did. The POV is great!

The SP gadgets is cheaper, lighter, shorter (min), longer (max) and better designed/built. The only category that the GoPole may win is the fact that it floats.

The GoPole has a screw in lanyard, the problem is that the metal ring on metal mount will clang and hurt the GoPro's audio. I had to replace the ring with a piece of small rope, but they should have thought about that design issue before releasing it. The POV pole has a solid loop and lanyard that are thicker than the GoPole and make zero noise.

It's kind of pointless that the Evo is still clear. The new twist lock on it is so large, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Also, I hated that the Evo's free spinning extension means that you'll rarely ever line up the GoPro the same twice. The SP Gadgets locks in the same spot every time. The smaller arms are nearly inperceivable.

The POV is almost pocket sized. Much smaller and lighter than the Evo. The grip is stickier and more ergonomic on the POV pole.

I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would suggest others purchase fr SP Gadgets too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ottimo. 285-925mm. Leggero, stabile, grip super. Consigli su quale scegliere...
Reviewed in Italy on 28 January 2015

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome pole
Reviewed in Australia on 16 June 2020
I had my first SP Gadgets POV Pole for about 5 years before it broke. I put it through a lot of hell from snowboarding in the alps, scuba diving in Thailand, Missions in Afghanistan, wakeboarding and all crazy travel adventures so I was amazed it lasted as long as it did......That's why i just had to buy another, I highly recommend. Works amazing in cold and hot weather, and underwater, just make sure you rinse it with fresh water if you take it in the ocean.
