    Was previously using a Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power Razor but got fed up with the inconsistent sharpness and cost of the replacement blades, so thought I would give this one a go.

    Have been using the same blade now everydayfor 4 weeks and it is not pulling as yet so is lasting well and longer than the Gillette.

    I also find it a bit easier to use once I got used to it and tend to hardly nick my face at all.

    Not quite as good for trimming sideburns as the Gillette.

    I prefer it to the Gillette and would recommend it.

    It cost me £4.99 from Amazon including a spare blade.

    Bought this mid Jan 2015. Normally I change blades every 10 - 14 days as blades always seem to get too dull and start to pull. I am still using this original blade today 22/6/15 so it's around 6 months old. The secret is cleaning it with Razorpit, giving it 3 or 4 "wipes" after each use. The blade doesn't get clogged easily either. I didn't buy the Razorpit through Amazon as found it cheaper elsewhere. Very pleased with this Razor so far. I'll probably have to change the blade before the end of the year but it should be OK for a month or two yet :)

    I bought this razor after being sick of paying so much for the gillette refills, i have used gillette razors since i started to shave.
    The razor handle is not as sturdy as gillette and the razor head is a little big, but it is a really good shave, i have not cut myself once since i have started to use the wilkinson sword and the razors stay sharp and last a long time, i have been using it now for a few months and still on the first razor blade.

    I've used Gillette products most of my adult life but after giving this product a try I'm convinced I've been missing out on an excellent shaving experience. The razor feels comfortable to hold, is very comfortable on the skin and the applicator leaves your skin feeling great...almost no need for applying aftershave balm afterwards.

    It's got a clever little trick where you can flick the applicator section back when shaving your sideburns so as not to waste it on a specific area of your face.

    A super close shave leaving you feeling great. I couldn't recommend this product more!

    Having used Gillette Mach 3 for several years I recently switched to Wilkinson Hydro 5.

    I am pleased with the razors performance which is a smoother shave than The Mach 3.

    The flip blade system is useful for those hard to reach places and all in all I am pleased with the choice

    Been a Gillette user since the first hairs appear on my chin as a teenager but despite the quality shave they give, the often eye watering price made me want to try another brand with Wilkinson Sword being the next obvious choice. Well I think the phrase 'you get what you pay for' certainly comes into effect here. On the plus side you do get a close shave however in my case with plenty of nicks and cuts. The head of the Wilkinson sword razor is larger and not as streamlined as the same level Gillette razor, which I found made it hard to get a close shave near the nose and for accurate sideburns. Another major downside was the rate at which the razor clogged up, which no doubt added to the constant nicks, with each pass having to have several shakes in water to fully clear.

    Glad the razor was bought on offer as I will no doubt be returning to Gillette. Yes they may be more expensive but at least I will get a faster hassle and nick free shave on a morning!!!

    What can I say ! Always used Gillette pro fusion then I thought that it was time for a change due to the cost of replacement blades. I went for the Hydro 5 and I'm not disappointed . Really close shave and I can't believe how long the blade is lasting. I will not be going back to Gillette that's for sure. Plus the cost of replacing blades is cheaper. I shave every day or every other day and I would recommend the hydro 5 to anyone.

    C'est un très bon rasoir.
    J'ai même l'impression qu'il rase mieux que le Gilette que j'ai aussi. Mais j'ai voulu essayé celui-ci car les lames Gilettes sont trop chères (en tout cas comparées à ces Wilkinson)... Et je dois dire que je suis très agréablement surpris.
    On peut se raser sans utiliser le gel hydratant simplement en rabattant la partie sur laquelle il se trouve.
    Non seulement, il rase quand même très bien mais ça permet de ne pas utiliser le gel de manière continu. C'est mieux pour certains endroits et ça permet de se servir plus longtemps des lames.
    En plus les lames, justement, sont bien moins chères que les Gilette et au moins aussi (je trouve qu'en fait elles sont plus) efficaces.
    Très bon produit. Super rapport qualité/prix. Je conseille vivement.

    Zu seinem teuren Konkurrenten muss sich der Wilkinson nicht verstecken.

    Er liegt gut in der Hand und am Ergebnis gibt es nicht zu stänkern.
    Gerade der Gelfilm macht die Rasur sehr angenehm.

    Dazu kommen die im Vergleich zu seinem Konkurrenten Gillete die viel billigeren Klingenpreise.

    Auch die Klingen sind meiner Meinung nach sehr gut. Eine reicht bei mir bei täglicher Rasur fast 3 Wochen, ohne erkennbaren Qualitätsverlust bei der Rasur
