Manufacturing errors and changes drastically with time
I purchased this in August 2012. The bed arrived drastically different from the showroom. I sat on the edge of the bed and measured the compression. I then went to the store and did the same shocked that the difference in compression was 1/3 of what I was experiencing at home. I had the bed exchanged under the trial warranty. With the replacement, the bed felt great at first. It did not collapse like the previous one I had. After a month or so, the bed started changing big time! I would sink in the bed and my body would create a hole. My sleep was awful and felt like I couldn't get out. My wife gets out of bed for work an hour before me. When she leaves, I move over toward the middle of the bed to find the spot that has changed drastically over time. I get my best sleep during this one hour and look forward to it all night. I do rotate the bed, but it doesn't help much. I would never buy this bed again. It will change! I bought the expensive powered base and have about $4500 invested in this crap. I wish I would have spent another $500 for a better brand.

10 year warranty.... yeah right. After only 4 years it became so squishy it was uncomfortable. I felt like I would sink all the way to the bed frame. Not enough support. Impossible to roll over in the night.

Tried to do a return, Sealy said no. Last time I'll EVER buy a Sealy product.

I didn't want to review this until I had been sleeping on it for a few months. The seller was great and I did leave positive feedback for him. The mattress is just ok. I does get hot. Not as much as other foam mattresses. I had tried it at a store and I made sure it was the same model but somehow this one is softer (I did not want a firm one, so I wanted between medium and firm). At the store it felt great and at home it is very comfortable at first. But I do still wake up some times with hip soreness. If I get in to a perfect sleep position I do great, only problem is I am a tosser. This is a soft mattress. If you have back issues I would not buy this. My husband, whom doesn't have any issues, loves it. We decided to keep it because we will upgrading to a king and will let my daughter sleep on it until she is a bit older.

There was a smell when it arrive but it wasn't too bad. We were able to sleep on it that same night. I had bought another foam mattress at Costco and had to returned unused after airing it out for 4 nights and still reeking.

Also, not sure if this was standard or if it was just from my really great seller (really... he was great, I do not know him, he had a great price on it and when I had issues with the delivery company, he even gave an additional 12% discount), but I received this mattress with unlisted bonuses: 2 foam pillows, a sheet set and a mattress cover.

Maybe my old mattress, was just that OLD. New mattress is amazing, shoulders don"t hurt or hips, OMG I think I sound old. Don't feel the spouse move so I don't get woke up. I went to a few mattress stores first and tried out mattress, this is the one I liked. I was a little concerned ordering online since it was a close out and no garentee. It has worked out just fine I love it. Also everything was just fine with the shipping. Seller even called to make sure I knew there was no garentee.

This was the most comfortable bed I'd ever slept on for the first few months. Just about the time it became too late to return the middle of the bed started becoming weak and I started having pretty bad back pain from being supported unevenly. Three months in and it had already weakened well beyond the demo model that had had people jumping on and off of it for a year.

I'm not a heavy person, but I do sleep on my side and that puts a lot more pressure in the middle of the bed, so if you sleep on your back or stomach this bed may be OK for you. It's still somewhat OK if I'm on my back but I still feel the weakened middle of the bed and I try to sleep on the edges of the bed now until those collapse as well.

Also of note was the heavy chemical smell this bed had when it arrived. I would take the sheets off it every morning, open the windows and put fans on it for the first week or two until the smell settled down. I can still smell if if no sheets are on the bed, but it's not terrible. It is something to consider if you're sensitive to scents.

That said, would not recommend this bed or any from Sealy from what I've read since buying this bed. They're not very forthcoming with what sort of density/material they put in their beds nor any information that can help you compare it to other beds or make a basis judgement about potential lifetime of the mattress. A warranty is useless with the deflection specs that are often not at all related to the support the bed offers (or does not offer). They only seem to care that you like it long enough that you've missed your window to return it. Why should they care about anything after that? It's terrible what customer service is for mattresses.

This mattress was a dream for several months, then it changed. It sags deeply on both sides, I cannot even get out of bed. I am in soooo much pain! I paid $1200 for this at a large retail store. I bought it right after I had disc surgery, I had to have a good mattress, we were broke, but I came up with the cash. I called the Store and they said I could have someone from Sealy come out since it was a year old now. So, I'm going to do that. I don't know if they'll do anything. I'm mad because I have to purchase new set after only one year, I'm not depending on getting a full refund. I'll let you know what happens after it's inspected. The mattress is like a W now. My husband now sleeps on the coach and I sleep in the middle of it, but it's a big mound, not comfortable. but, better sleeping on the mound then the hole on my side. I thought Sealy was the best, I'm not so sure now. I think these mattresses need to be recalled and we should start a class action lawsuit! oh, I'm 175 lbs and I roll around in my sleep, which I think made this worse, but I've never had a mattress that only lasted a year!!!!!
