Product Description

This two in one item is a cutting board and strainer/colander in one! Non-slip handles on the end of the board keep it securely in place during use: both over the sink and on the counter top. The removable silicone collapsible strainer basket makes it easy to rinse and wash fruits and vegetables, or strain pasta and more directly over the sink. Or, collapse and remove the strainer basket to use as a regular cutting board on the counter top. The collapsible strainer washes clean when collapsed. The cutting board is made from durable, non-porous, odor resisting poly that will not dull knives. The silicone strainer expands to a capacity of 2.5 quarts and collapses flat for storage. Easy to clean: dishwasher safe.

    This cutting board/strainer is pretty awesome. It's very convenient to be able to cut up fruits and veggies and just drop it right into the straining basket. It is excellent quality, as most Dexas items are. My only knocks are that (1) it is oversized. This does NOT fit in my dishwasher, even on an angle. Needs to be washed by hand. My own fault for not measuring the dimensions, but just something to keep in mind before purchasing. I saw one recently at Wal-Mart which was slightly smaller and would fit in my dishwasher. Didn't think the quality was as good tho so I am sticking with this. (2) Only other knock would be that I like it when a cutting board is cupped around the edges so that any excess water or juices do not flow over the sides. This is flat as you would expect it to be. Otherwise, I am very happy with this purchase.

    This is expensive and so was the shipping. It was not packaged very well at all. Basically wrapped in a cardboard box, not actually put into a box, just had cardboard on top of it. The Strainer part is not conected to the board but is an insert. This made it difficult to hang and that is how I prefer to store my cutting boards so it just kept moving away from a good purchase for me personally.

    All that said, the quality is there and it is very easy to clean. It is a good size for the dishwasher and does indeed fit over the sink as shown in the photo. I can my own foods and prepare a lot of from scratch whole food meals and this is a good addition to my kitchen. Despite the negatives I am glad I have it.

    I bought one for myself & when my step-daughter visited she recommended that it would be a great Christmas gift for her & her sisters. I use mine daily. It has given me extra counter top space in my small kitchen for cleaning & chopping veggies. The expanding drainer is heavy duty pliable rubber and removes for easy clean-up. Even though it is long- it stores easily by laying it flat on top of the skillets in the cupboard.

    I would highly recommend this handy- well made cutting board!

    This strainer works well for rinsing fruits and vegetables both before or after you've chopped them on the board. I have to thoroughly rinse (and wash really) vegetables and fruits because there are no pesticide controls at all where I live, and this board makes that work easier while not occupying extra counter space. It's deep enough to cover a standard sized sink but may be much wider than your sink so check the measurements! The only improvement I wish it had would be the strainer portion lifting out in order to empty the contents.
