- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2014Bought this as our family really liked Lego Avengers. I don't think this is quite as polished as the Avengers, but it's still a great game! In Avengers, your pairing of Super-Heroes changes with every level. In Batman 2, you usually have to use Batman & Robin, but their suits can change during the game. Both are fine ways to play. You get pretty good with Batman & Robin this way.
One thing I like about Batman 2, is that the vehicles are used better in this game. In Avengers, you basically unlock vehicles and that's about it. You don't really need them for missions as Iron Man flies from the get-go. Batman can't fly. In Batman 2, you actually use the Bat-Mobile to get around town. In the Avengers, you usually just pick a flying character to get around town as that's the easiest way around. You have missions/levels in Batman 2 where you are chasing and shooting The Joker from the Bat Plane. This was a fun change from the Avengers.
The story actually might be a little better in Batman 2 compared to the Avengers. The Joker and Lex Luthor team-up makes more sense here. Also, I love the Joker's Jokerbot (A giant Transformer/Jaeger being controlled by Lex and The Joker). And Batman's jealousy of Superman is pretty funny in the dialogue cut-scenes as well.
I enjoyed both games, and recommend both. Definitely worth the low price here!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2013I've played pretty much all of the Lego games on either the PC or the Wii/Wii U. Most are great except for perhaps ROTJ and Lego City Undercover. This one is great too. It looks excellent on the Wii U and game play is fun. The game is appropriate for any age and if you think because its a Lego game that adults will not enjoy it then think again. Yes, the games are easy but when you play co-op with a friend or family member it really is lots of fun. Even single player is enjoyable. Requires the Wii U gamepad for one player and a Wiimote with nunchuk for the 2nd player. Doesn't work with the Wii U Pro controller gamepad, unfortunately.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2016Fun game, easy to play, my soon to be 4 year old can play it without much help. You don't need a PhD in video games to play this game, and that is exactly why I like playing this game. The game controls are not the greatest, but because this game is not very technical, the maneuverability of the characters is good enough; you can just focus on having fun smashing the bad guys and everything else in sight.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2016I have always been a fan of the Lego games on the Xbox as my daughter and I had tons of fun playing in coop mode. This was our first Lego game for the Wii U and I am extremely disappointed to say that the Wii U pro controllers are not supported. Player 2 has to use a Wii remote with nunchuck, which is a clunky way to control this at best. Aiming weapons doesn't even seem to work. Even if we wanted to just play in single player mode, the Wii U gamepad is a bit large for extended game play, so the fact that Wii U pro controllers are not supported means this one is going back immediately. It would be nice if Amazon (or anyone for that matter) could clearly show the back of the box where it shows (albeit with small images) supported controllers for that game. This would have saved us the hassle. It's sad because this might have been a good game, but I can't stand playing it with the Wii remote...
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2014I am close to 50 years old and was looking for a game that I could play with my teens. They recommend this and I have to admit I am addicted. So much so that I have already finished the story mode and am now working my way back through free play. It is funny to see the look on my family's faces when I tell them what they need to do in order to move on. Seller was quick with delivery and would use them again.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2013Listen I'm not going to go into detail on the game itself, I'm just gonna hop into the differences in the wii u version to any of the other versions, and why you should wait till the wii u version drops to the price of the other versions.
Changes:
The map in the open world is displayed on the gamepad
You can use off TV play
You can do co op with one player getting the full TV screen and one on the gamepad
There is no DLC
So With those 3 minor enhancements and 1 disadvantage (the DLC should have come with this version.) comes my final verdict. This is a fun game, but I can't recommend it at its current price. Lego City Undecover is also a better choise unless you want to do two player (no multiplayer in lego city). Plus if you wanna look outside of the wii u I found this game for less than 8 bucks on the recent steam summer sale
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2015My son wanted Batman 3 for Christmas and I bought this one by mistake and ended up buying the 3 as well. I decided to keep this one since it was so inexpensive and let me tell you ......he loves this one more than the 3! The only thing I don't like is that you can't use just the pad you must use the tv. But this doesn't bother him at all. .... just me lol
