Unique and well executed design. The mug is the perfect size for a typical cup of coffee. It requires a bit of care while washing or putting in the dishwasher not to push the handle/base the wrong way but I found the mugs to be sufficiently sturdy. The mug is somewhat cream in color as opposed to snow white which in my opinion works better when service coffee. It easily fits in my NEspresso machine (with the tray pushed in) and comfortably fits two cappuccinos (three if you want to push it) . Our other mugs are effectively retired since everyone is just reaching out for one of these in the cabinet.
On a separate note it was a delight working with the seller who addressed a shipping issue.
Okay, it isn't the perfect mug. But pretty damn close. First off, mine is splendidly made. Hold the mug horizontally by one finger in the handle. Now tap the base of the coaster. Wonderful clear ring. Like I said ... Well made. Next, wash the mug before you use it. Now pour a steaming hot cuppa joe. Notice how easy the handle is to hold, and the stability of the base when it hits the table. Easy enough to sip from, and if you're afflicted by arthritis like I am, notice the lack of pain from the grip. Really well designed! Yes there is the occasional drip of coffee that makes it way down the exterior. But it seems to evaporate before it reaches the bottom of the mug let alone the coaster base. Neat. Mug cleans up nicely. Great for tea, fruit juice. I like it. If I were to change anything, it would be the lip. I might make it a touch more flare and tapering.
Saw shark tank months ago and went straight on google. saw amazon selling these but was currently out of stock. Waited about a month for a new batch.
On to the cup.. Base is crooked. Does not look like the picture shown on the page.(wish i can figure out how to upload a pic) maybe it was a bad batch but I'm contemplating on returning this. Over engineer "floating" design. I have a keurig mini, so you would have to pour water into the machine before you brew. As I'm pouring water into the machine the water flows down against the cup on to the base spilling water all over. Cup size is too small. I wish they offer bigger size. A 12oz or maybe just 2oz bigger would be fine.
Another thing... i know some people wouldn't care but the packaging is terrible. You know the box too small when the handle is making the box deform. You would expect some kinda foam protecting a $15 cup. Only foam found in packaging is the gap between the "floating" part.
The mug was not as I expected. Nice design but poor craftsmenship. The handle was not evenly placed and looking at while drinking since its "floating" does not look right. Was expecting a higher quality.
It looks cool, but the whole "you don't need a coaster with this mug" thing is false. I'd totally still get a set of these tho. The mug is pretty durable, and it looks very nice.
Not only cool in concept, but a cool and supremely functional mug. The built in coaster really works. I love being able to hold the larger handle, which loops out and under. I've had larger than normal handles on mugs before, they tend to feel out of balance with the mugs. This one doesn't. If the pic makes you hesitant about the sturdiness, don't think twice. This is well build and remarkably balance with any amount of liquid in it. I'll likely buy more in the future.
This cup only looks nice. When you drink out of it, dribbles of coffee go down the side and eventually collect in the base of the handle. When enough coffee collects in the base, it spills all over your white business shirt, staining it. Then you get mad and throw away the mug. Now you need to buy a new mug and a new shirt. Stay away from this Pandora Box.
This mug is great. I can put it on furniture without having to use a coaster. I use it for hot tea and my tea stays hot until I finish it. I also use it for room temperature water and cold kumbucha. It works great with everything I use it for. I am very pleased with the item.
I know this is just a cup, but its a cup with purpose. I saw an episode on Shark tank with this product and I wanted to see if it truly did work in terms of not leave stains on the desk/ table. And I have to say it does work. The material is nothing special just your typical mug.. that floats.
