We used this mattress on a thrifted futon frame as our primary couch for around 6 months. It has since moved up into the guest bedroom, but we loved it as our couch! It was comfortable to sit on, even long term. Guests have told me that it wasn't bad to sleep on and I took many a nap on it comfortably while it was in the folded position. Honestly, it was more comfortable to nap on than our actual couch. I didn't have any problems with it smelling, the color was great, and although the little plastic pieces were a bit tacky they never bothered me much or looked bad. Throw some throw pillows on there and nobody will notice.
