Depending what you are buying it for. If you want it for the colorful design and the music, I would say it is good for a baby who can sit up without support, ~6 month. If you are buying it as a walker, I would say wait until the baby can stand by himself. My baby is almost 10 months and cant not stand by himself but can stand with support. He would try to hold on to handle and take his steps. The elephant moves too fast for him so he will sit down right away. This is when I step in and hold the elephant for him so it does not go fast and the baby would enjoy take a few steps this way.

The Fisher-Price 3-in-1 Bounce, Stride and Ride Elephant is very sturdy.  I bought it as a gift for my granddaughter for her first birthday.  She has been using it for nearly a year and a half and it&#39;s never tipped over.

Yes. This is relatively steady as compared to other baby ride-ons and walkers. Others that we have tried include VTech Sit-To-Stand Smart Cruiser, Playskool Rock, Ride, 'n Stride Hippo Toy, and a Fisher Price walker. All of them tip over very easily.

We love it! Keeps baby busy, wish we had sooner! Lots to do with lion head that lights up, plays music, counts, colors. It's helped my daughter learn 'where's the nose'. She was already walking when we got but wish I had it earlier, the wheels aren't fast and it doesn't 'take off' without her to cause a fall. Love that it's small enough to add to our everyday toys. Fun in more ways than one!

I gave this to my son for his first birthday. He had been walking along the couch but never had a toy he could push like you can with this one. On day one, he had already figured out how to sit on it and bounce, push it, and where all the buttons are. It's his favorite toy!

My 1 year old grandson loves this toy. I didn't know that the seat would bounce. Great feature.  He loves the music,and the lights. I love that you can adjust the sound. He pushes it around indoors and out. The seat is low enough so he can get on and off by himself. The only improvement I would make is the wheels. They don't rotate, and he has to go straight,and he gets a little frustrated that he can't make it turn without getting off. I would buy this toy again.

Fisher price elephant

I received this product a month ago and it has been a big hit with the kid. It came in the mail the day he turned 14 months old so perfect timing. He started walking one day before so the feature of the lion to being used to practice walking he wasn't interested in for a little while but now he still likes it again. THe lion is cute, sturdy, well-made, bright, colorful and fun. And has a LOt of great sounds to help with learning all sorts of stuff like colors, numbers, etc.. You can also practice "feeding" the lion which I think my son has a little trouble with because it's kind of hard to do a little bit. I'm surprised there isn't more of a storage place for the balls. But this toys very versatile and can be used in many different ways and stages. Right now his favorite thing is to sit on it. He's not quite long enough to push himself yet but he enjoys just sitting on it and pushing buttons. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Fun, Learning & Growing!

My 18mo loves this toy more than any others. I like that it is wide to it won't tip over easily. I like that the car is an elephant. And he drove it very well with no problems at all. He didn't seem interested in any of the buttons though.

I am so grateful that our household was able to test this product! Our 3-in-1 Sit, Stride & Ride Lion is colorful, compact, bright and just perfect for our year old daughter.  The voice is sweet, the tunes are lovely, and watching her face light up is worth everything! She loves to "feed" the lion , press all the buttons - especially his nose :) She does sit on it, but doesn't push off just yet.  But using it as a walker - is perfect! This Little Lion provides IMMENSE Joy!

I have received the Fisher Price 3 in 1 Sit, Stride and Ride Lion for my 14 months old son. The toy was pretty easy to put together, only a couple of screws and you're done. Took maybe 10 minutes at the most. It was one of the easier toys to put together I have for my little guy. The Lion head has 10 light up buttons which teach baby numbers and colors. When you press the nose it will play a couple of songs and it lights up. Every once in a while the lion will sneeze when you press the nose which I think is really cute. It will also play the ABC song and some other sounds. Baby can open the mouth and drop balls inside which will fall out the front of the lion. The mouth also  plays some sounds like telling baby he is hungry. It's a cute idea but my baby is having a hard time opening the mouth by himself. On the front of the lion is a butterfly and a little wheel. I think those two might have been an afterthought since they really don't do much. Baby can either sit on the lion and ride it or you can lift up the seat and use it as a handle for walking. I don't know if it's a problem with our toy but the wheels are really tight. I have tried to loosen them but it's still almost impossible for my little guy to push it or ride it. We have carpet in the house and even I'm having a hard time moving the lions wheels. The thing I like is that you can easily detach the lions head. We went to visit family and I just took the lions head to keep my son entertained in the car. All in all I think this in an ok toy. Doesn't seem to really keep my son's interest as much as I hoped it would. Recommended age is 6 month 3 years. Not sure a 3 year old would be very entertained by this toy. Would only recommend for younger kids.

Bouncing seat is nice. He liked the toy but seemed to have problems moving it around because the feet on the toy are very wide and it kept hitting his feet.

good toy needs small tweak

We've had this for about a month now, but it's had it's problems. First off my son is not even 2 and it's too small (his feet constantly get caught in the front tire area, but that's not something that deters him from using it. he bounces on it when he uses it, or pushes it, he even scoots in it, with his legs stretched to the side). Secondly, it does not have anywhere near 30 songs; it has 5 tops. Thirdly, it constantly stutters (the lights and sounds that is) regardless of whether or not my 18 month old is on it. It's fine for a bouncy chair and something to push around, but because of the stuttering lights and sounds (it's like they're stuck), i try to keep it "off" so that it doesn't bother me (my son doesn't seem to mind, he actually points and laughs when it happens). for nearly 50$ i expected better quality. I buy a lot of fisher price toys for my son, this is the only one with issues. might have been a quality control thing, or a lemon. i'd exchange it but we threw the box away the same day we got it/installed it.

this product has deterred me from buying anything worth more than 15$ for my toddler from now on. Spending 50+$ on a toy doesn't make it perfect, regardless of all the good reviews.

The only reason I purchased this is because after visiting my uncles house, my son was obsessed with the one my baby cousin had, i had my reserves about spending this much on a baby/toddler toy, but i figured, it's the only toy he likes at my uncles (my son is picky, he usually gets bored of a toy after 5 minutes). It's a little disappointing that this toy turned out not nearly as good quality as the one he played with at my uncles house. quality control isn't consistent.

normally i don't write reviews; if i have an issue with something I buy, i return it asap, but like i said, i tossed the box the minute after it was assembled without issue.
