The Mint Green colour itself is very nice and matches it's corresponding pen
body very well. The barrel is filled with a good amount of ink and after a week
of heavy use, my ink level hasn't dipped too far, which makes sense considering
it's an extra fine nib. The ink flows great and i have yet to run into any ink
cutting or jumping issues as of yet. The extra fine nib is very nice, and one of
my favourite extra fine brush nibs have tried so far. There was an issue though
as JetPens shipped me a faulty, already frayed nib so I've been dealing with
that best I can, but even though the nib is frayed, it still gives me consistent
thin lines and nice thick ones.
Some of the downsides are that it looks, feels, and is pretty cheaply made. The
barrel itself is plastic, which usually isn't a problem, but if i put too much
pressure on it, i can bend the bare barrel slightly. This really isn't a problem
unless you are intentionally squishing it or using the refill without the body.
Using the pen without the cap posted is quite difficult, as the pen becomes
pretty small to hold, and doesn't comfortably fit in my hand. When using, i
recommend posting the cap on the back, as it adds the much-needed length to the
pen.
The Cocoiro series is a good and satisfactory pen line with an okay range of
colours. It works well and does it's job well. 3/5 I'm not crazy over it, but it
didn't disappoint me either. Great for beginners and hobbyists. I use it
primarily for note taking and brush lettering practice.
