Good for the Price!
What do you expected for the price of $6.44 for 5 piece of paint brushes ? I used the 2 inches of brush today , to paint the outside my deck's stairway. These brushes are perfect for what I needed. Just don't expect them to be "forever brushes" ! These are decent for the price, are able to be reused for couple time. Can't complain too much.

I was hesitant to buy these based on the other reviews thinking they would just be a waste of time, but they were actually great. When they first come out of the box, they shed bristles terribly, but all I needed to do was tease and comb through them a little. After that, I didn't noticed a single bristle come out while painting. The variance in the shapes of the brushes was extremely useful.

If I had to pick something I didn't like, it would be the unfinished wood handles. They're really hard to clean if you get paint on them.

But overall, a great deal. $1.25 a brush ($6.25 for 5). You can't beat that.

These were pretty good. We used it to do some spot painting around the house. They seem like pretty nice quality brushes, especially if you're just painting walls or something, Five thumbs up.

There are a lot of features on these product pages, but at the end of the day what ended up mattering for me was that these brushes didn't fray much or fall apart. Even after pulling them out four or five times to paint walls around the house, they are still in pretty good shape. I do make sure that I rinse them off a bit before I toss them back in the storage bucket.

These brushes are not the highest quality, but at this price you shouldn't expect them to be. They are actually better than what I expected to get. I used them for staining some wood and paint touch up on walls. They work fine while only losing the occasional bristle. I DO mean occasional. I've used low cost brushes to paint walls in the past and it was like the dog was shedding on the wall I was picking so many bristles out of the paint. I really expected these brushes to be like that. Not so! These are not top quality brushes, but I feel their quality does exceed the low price I paid. For small jobs around the house I feel they certainly met my needs. I recommend these brushes.

Got three sets of these as add-on items at what I considered a very low price. They were a Fantastic value. Used them for a scout project and was very pleasantly surprised of the quality too.
I had anticipated just using them once and tossing but they cleaned up well and did not lose any bristles like most cheap brushes. We have a bigger project next week and will see how they really perform. Bottom line, these are decent quality brushes with a good assortment of sizes for any project. I plan on getting a few more sets.

If you're looking for a decent set of cheap brushes that don't shed bristles like an anemic cat sheds fur, then these are decent for the price. They're able to be reused, but for the most part I think they're mostly intended for water-clean-up only (Water-based latex and latex enamels). I used them for oil based primer and enamel gloss, and they did what I wanted them to do. I expected them to fall apart and they didn't. They didn't really make it through the the whole project in usable condition, though, so they're a one-shot thing unless cleaning them with water is more successful.

They're economical enough to use as a one-off like I did, though, so I can't complain. Just don't expect them to be your "forever brushes".

These brushes are very soft and the variety of sizes is exactly what I needed. I'm renovating an old house and painting everything and a multitude of surfaces.

I used the two inch brush today to paint wood beams on the ceiling and to cover up old wallpaper in the laundry room. The smallest brush was used for polyurethane over mahogany window trim pieces. Both performed well with little dripping and clean up was a breeze. I like the slightly wide handle on these also - easier to hold when you're standing on a scaffold reaching over head.

I used two of the five brushes to stain and clear-coat my kitchen table. Only one bristle came loose while staining, so I recommend running the brushes over a towel or clean surface to loosen any weak bristles. Clean up for the stain was paint thinner, and the clear finish required hand soap and warm water-- both brushes cleaned up well with no additional bristle loss. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality and even application of the products I chose.

These brushes go for less than $1.50 per brush, and they are much better than the cheap chip brushes you find at the hardware store. They're one use brushes - so great for oil based paints and stains, which is tough to clean with any brush. You can clean the brushes of course, but they really don't hold up well. If you want a real quality set of brushes to reuse over and over again, you'll need to spend at least $8 a brush (and that's on the low end).
