Excellent radio......BUT
I love this radio, excellent tone, easy to use, strong reception strength, BUT, the USB cable didn't fit properly into the radio, it was loose. The supplier quickly sent a replacement cable but that didn't fit either. Luckily I had one of my own that did fit perfectly so I didn't bother to ask for a second replacement. A peculiar design
The designer of this radio really missed a trick - the rotary control on the front should have been made to serve double duty as the station selector control. Instead, you have to scroll through the stations available in your locale using "up" and "down" push buttons, then - before the thing times out - you have to push in the volume control to select the station. It's fiddly. It would have been much better to have a top panel push button labelled "tune" that switched the rotary control to station select mode. This would have been MUCH easier to use. Other than that ergonomic gripe, it's a good little radio for DAB. VHF FM performance is less than stellar, but the DAB functionality is fine in areas of reasonably good signal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Great radio with a weak usb connection.
Small, compact, easy to use and good sound quality. Only let down by the weak usb connection and the fact that batteries run down whilst you use it on the mains. So not good if you want to be portable and change between batteries and mains and move from room to room, but absolutely fine if you leave them plugged in at the same place and try not to knock the cable. Unobtaianable Station Received: Ridiculously Cheap
I only bought this radio for one station , Chill FM. I need this so that I can switch off the normal radio in the kitchen which is permanently tuned to radio 2 and consequently there is a clear and present danger of Chris Evans and Vanessa Feltz. I have more expensive Dab radios and a Dab deck which are unable to get Chill fm with a dedicated aerial anywhere in the house. I have had others which would only work on one floor of the three, each radio working on a different floor. The hype about the clarity etc of Dab is pure tripe. Just rotating the radio by a couple of inches can destroy the signal but this little item is happy on three floors and takes a lot of moving before it loses the signal, a signal which most Dab radios find unavailable. The batteries only lasted six hours but they were from the poundshop, so no real test there. The power from the usb lead (apart from mains connection) has to be one of the most convenient sources possible given that most of us now have powerbanks. Great Little Radio
Easily outperforms my Pure One Mi, plus has the advantage of a headphone socket. I used this to hook it up to an amplifier and speakers as a temp, cheap DAB radio until I could afford a full-blown component DAB. Frankly, the quality coming out of the speakers is so good, I'm in two minds as to whether I need a full-blown DAB. Tuned in perfectly - more stations than the Pure, no drop-out. Has a nice rubbery finish and also can be powered by mini-USB or regular AA batteries (unlike the Pure, which will only take an expensive PURE ChargePak). Good honest DAB radio & perfectly adapted for the desired purpose. Only drawback is that it is not rechargeable - but 4 x AA batteries or mains adaptor power it. Refurbished but faulty
A very neat radio, but this one had evidently been returned previously, and the fault not found or rectified. The presetting had something wrong and took many tries to get just one programme set. Excellent value for money
The radio was a little larger than expected but still quite small. It's solid and well built with easy controls. The unit I bought was refurbished but came in a 'new' condition. Really impressed with the sound quality from such a small and cheap radio. The earphones socket allows me to connect to an external speaker for even better quality when I need it. The mains power charger uses a micro USB plug which means I can use a rechargeable portable phone charger instead of batteries when away from the house. Clarity, and simplicity from Tesco's mighty marvel.
The price of this item will tend to lower your expectations, as we are looking " bargain basement" on price. Well simply put, raise them, as this little DAB radio, exceeded any level I had anticipated. The first plus, discovering that time and date set automatically , an unobtrusive blue light, makes for easy reading, and the simplicity of the Radio, means it is a 'set and forget' companion on my kitchen shelf. I only used 8 presets but 10 are available. The quality impressed me to the extent, that I regaled my neighbours with a performance, prompting the comment, " How much?, I paid £ 54 for mine and it's nowhere near as good ". The compact nature makes it ideal to place on any shelf or window-sill, with a chrome built in aerial, maybe it's not a "looker" in the glossy brochure, sense, but who looks at a radio?
