When designer Jørgen Møller first came up with this abstract and stylish elephant bottle opener, little did he imagine that it would capture the hearts of so many and become an iconic piece of Georg Jensen history. The original chunky aluminium character is still today a beautiful and practical talking point in any kitchen or bar.

Jørgen Møller was a strong believer that all good design had to start with the practical and functional. However when that was fulfilled, he was happy to introduce both beauty and humour in his work. The elephant series has become one of Georg Jensen’s most recognisable collections.

Solidly made from aluminium, the Elephant bottle opener is small but mighty and makes a charming and unusual gift.

    Quite nice little opener. I needed one for my apartment when I moved, and this is that I decided on. I really like the feel of it, it's heavy for it's size. I really like the design of it, it looks really nice sitting next to my sink. The reason I gave it 4/5 was because after even 2 uses, the inside (near the feet) started to get really scratched up. I don't know if this is just the nature of all openers or a result of the design/ metal type/ finish, but I wasn't too thrilled about it. For the price, it really is a bit more of an art piece than a functional opener. But since it is an opener, it works fairly well, but isn't the best I've used by any means. Nowadays, I typically prefer to use another opener that was either given to me or picked up at a thrift store because it works better and I don't care about damaging it. This little guy has turned more into a kitchen decoration that becomes functional at parties when my other opener gets misplaced.
