Doc McStuffinsOperation Doc McStuffins Operation combines the silly fun of the classic Operation game with Doc McStuffins and her friends. You be Doc McStuffins, and help fix Lambie, Chilly, and Hallie's boo-boos by carefully removing them with tweezers and placing a bandage on the empty space. Be careful. If you touch the sides of the boo-boo pocket with the tweezers, a red light will go on, and you'll get the buzzer. - Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2014My 3.5 year old daughter received this for Christmas.
She tends to be delicate with her toys, so we thought this would be good way for her to continue that and work on fine motor skills.
The game is challenging and fun. We both laugh when we play together as it buzzes me for contacting he edges, just like old school operation.
One thing I didn't notice until after we purchased and played, was the inclusion of "band aids" to cover up the boo boos after you remove the piece.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2016The game operation is made kind of cheap these days! It's easier for small children which is good but it's flimsy plastic and the sound is much quieter than it used to be and didn't even have sound for a few tries.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2016I purchased this for my grand daughter as a gift. She enjoyed this simple but fun game. She is a big Doc McStuffins fan and she enjoyed the game. Was a little simple for her after a few times but has a younger brother and sister that will get use out of the game as well. The game was so popular I had trouble finding one local. Was glad to find one at Amazon. ShipDisney Doc McStuffins Operation Gameping was fast and price was very reasonable
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2015My just newly three year old loves this game. She got pretty discouraged hearing the buzzer everytime she reached in to get a piece so I just took out the batteries until she's a bit better with her fine motor skills. Now we play it much more happily. We love it, the pieces are a lot larger than the original I grew up with and adding the band aids makes my daughter feel like a real helper.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2020I bought this as a gift for my nieces while they are having to shelter in place. It was supposed to be a fun surprise and an activity for them. Instead they got excited and tried to play the game. It didn’t work. Check the batteries. Not only was it mailed with old batteries but the batteries had dissolved some. Obviously making the game useless.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2014The holes the playing pieces fit in are too large. So our 4 yr old was pretty bored with this after 2 tries. She takes all of the pieces out with ease and the only thrill is putting on the cardboard bandaids. The game never buzzes and the lights don't flash because you never touch the sides of the gigantic holes!
UPDATE:
I increased my review from 2 stars to 3 stars and deleted some of my negative comments. While my 4.5 yr old was bored with this game after playing it 2 times, I decided to take the game to church and let other 4 yrs old play with it. I found that children in the age range of 4 do have a broader range of motor skills than I had thought. Some children were not able to remove the pieces without touching the sides. So for them, the game worked despite the very large holes.
Other 4 yr olds were like my daughter, they played it once and were unimpressed. They did not have any trouble removing the pieces.
One child refused to play the game, but had 10 minutes of fun trying to put the 10 cardboard bandages back into the frame they snapped out of. Each bandage is a unique pattern. So when you snap them out of the cardboard frame, don't throw the frame away. You may find that your child likes matching the bandages with the 10 different patterns on the frame they snapped out of.
Basically, this game is going to be useful to a very narrow age range of maybe 3.5 to 4.5. I wish they had made the holes smaller, like the one I played as a child. I loved the 1970s era version of Operation and I was sad that my daughter wasn't fond of this version. I had hoped to share in those memories.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2015Doc McStuffins will inspire many a young child to be a veterinarian, this game is age appropriate and has exiting elements to it so there is a lot of time spent playing with it. Not a lot of small pieces makes it safe for little ones; however, the game is quite engaging and fun. It's fun for the adults playing, too.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2014I bought this for my 9 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. Partially due to the character theme and then due to the fun of the game. I will tell that it is an easy version. An adult would no problem whatsoever playing and winning every time. So mostly my daughter plays this with her friends. Even to them it is only mildly challenging hence the four stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun game
Good fun game! I thought my 4 year old daughter would find it too difficult, but she has no trouble; it's just enough of a challenge that she doesn't find it too frustrating.

3.0 out of 5 stars great game
I purchased this before I found it in the main stream shops. I paid quite a lot for this item only to find a week later that it was substantially cheaper in stores. Also it sdoesnt state but it comes with French and English all over the box. Seller gave very good service though and it arrived promptly. Maybe price and description need altering a little.

Excellent. Kept the child and adults amused for hours. Money well spent. Would highly recommend if child likes Dr McStuffin or not.
