The design is nice and i bring it out for the holidays! 😀 but it is mainly plastic not exactly ideal in kitchen wares but it was to cute not to get!

So cute!
I received this item at a promotional discount and oh my goodness I love it! It is so cute and different! I haven't seen anything like it before so I was really excited when it arrived. It is pretty self explanatory on how to disassemble the item for washing. I didn't want to ruin it before I could use it so I rinsed it in hot soapy water instead of throwing it in my high temp dishwasher. The plastic see through piece came out nice and clear and shiny. I use salt for the Christmas tree and cinnamon for the brown tree and pepper for the green tree and I used raw sugar for the cactus because we live in the desert and we have sand here instead of dirt so it resembles our sand color. They have two different hole sizes small and medium so make sure you dont add salt to the one with the large hole as you will end up using more salt than you really need! The only issue I have had with it is that the cinnamon likes to stick a bit to the glass part causing it to be a little hazy but the other spices do not do that. Other than that we have had many compliments on it and it makes our dinning area look cute and fun. I would definitely recommend if you have kids as it will help teach them about the different types of trees and areas where those trees live. I wouldnt use seasons as even though it gets cold here in Arizona we would never really grow any other tree besides some small pine and lots of cactuses.
