Product Description

d-c-fix adhesive Foils

They are stylish, inexpensive and super easy to apply – with the adhesive foils from d-c-fix, outdated but cherished furniture can be quickly and easily transformed into new favourite pieces. This is not only one of the top latest living trends, but also fantastic in terms of sustainability. When designing kitchen fronts, tabletops or chests of drawers, you can draw on a wide range of different designs. Wood and stone looks such as Ribbeck, Santana and Sonoma Oak or marble prints such as Marble grey and white are particularly convincing thanks to their authentic look. But plain colours in a matt finish also infuse a shot of modern elegance to the interior. The adhesive foils are available on rolls in various dimensions.

d-c-fix adhesive foil – flexible application – ideal for furniture and as decoration

Application area 1 – Kitchen fronts

A new kitchen is an investment that needs to be well considered – after all, it has to please for a long time. Particularly important, therefore: the right look. For all those who don’t want to dig deep into their pockets again after a few years in order to change the look of their kitchen, the decorative foils from d-c-fix are the perfect choice because designs that are no longer quite up-to-date, as well as traces of use and small flaws, disappear behind the self-adhesive foils in no time at all. Particularly popular for renewing kitchen fronts? Wood and stone looks as well as plain colours in matt.

Application area 2 – Cupboards & chests of drawers

Monochrome? Old hat! So how about a makeover for the chest of drawers or the shoe cupboard in the hallway? Thanks to adhesive foils from d-c-fix, these furniture items can be transformed into truly unique pieces that are one of a kind.

Application area 3 – Table tops

There is no question that the surfaces of dining tables and desks are exposed to particular stresses. Scratches, pen marks and other stains make themselves at home on them all too quickly: Not very attractive. The adhesive foils from d-c-fix can provide a remedy here, because the small unsightly traces of everyday life disappear behind the high-quality self-adhesive decorative foils from d-c-fix, in a flash.

Application area 4 – DIY decoration

Sometimes, the smallest things make the biggest changes. Flowers and decorative items are known to immensely influence the impact of a room. Adhesive foils from d-c-fix can also be used to set small but subtle accents that have a big impact – whether it’s to visually enhance flower pots or redesign drawers – there are no limits to creativity with the d-c-fix foils.

Make new out of old – “sustainability”

Tastes change, and what was really stylish two years ago may now be considered unfashionable. The same can also apply to furniture. But that doesn’t mean you have to immediately part with it - you can always give them a new look. This is where the adhesive foils from d-c-fix are the perfect partner, because they come in numerous different designs and can thus turn an unloved piece into a favourite again in no time at all. And the best thing about it: it’s super sustainable!

Adhesiveness

An absolute advantage of d-c-fix adhesive foils is that they are self-adhesive and don’t require a special adhesive, as is the case when applying wallpaper, for example. This makes application very easy. And if anything goes wrong during application – no problem either: Repositioning is easily possible because the full adhesive strength is only reached after a few hours.

Easy application

Special tools, special know-how or specific adhesive – nothing of the sort is required when applying the decorative foils from d-c-fix. After all, they adhere all by themselves. If you have scissors, a pencil and a ruler at hand, you’re well equipped for cutting. If you want to simplify application even more, you can use the d-c-fix application set that includes a cutter knife and doctor blade.

Easy cleaning

Once the foil is in place, most of the work is over. Now it’s just a matter of proper care. Cleaning is very easy, as standard cleaning agents can be used. Warm water with a little washing-up liquid as a mild soapy solution works best. It’s easy to wipe down the foil with this. Damp spots should be rubbed dry with a soft cloth. Stubborn stains can be removed using alcohol-based cleaners.

Heat resistance

If organic shapes need to be covered with the foil, this too is no problem at all. To cover the relevant object, the foil can be heated and stretched. It can easily withstand temperatures of up to 70 °C for short periods.

Removable without residues

You’re no longer happy with the design? No problem. The adhesive foils from d-c-fix can also be removed again without leaving any residues – the easiest way to do this is to heat the foil slightly with a hair dryer.

Processing adhesive films from d-c-fix - step by step

Measure the surface and cut the film to size.
Peel off approx. 10 cm of backing paper and place the film on the edge of the object.
Press the film on lightly.
Continue to peel off the backing paper step by step.
At the same time, press the film on with a squeegee to avoid air bubbles.

First it does not look hammered, but looks like it has a little light impressions of dots that are consistently uniform all over, rather than a true hammered look in appearance. But worst of all, it doesn’t even stick to any surface after I tried it on glass, melamine, wood, marble, and tile. The glue dries fast after backing is removed. I’ve had much better luck with what I thought would be inferior products that ended up being superior. Competition may be less expensive but certainly superior to this inferior product and inferior support (as of this date to be no support). Such a waste! Don’t bother with the headache. Look at alternatives, safe money, and end up with a finished project far better in being easier, more durable, stickier, and costing less in the end with support that can’t be any worse than none as Ive seen here. Too bad. Even with more glue, the texture still is to much of a printed circular parttern as I tried to show in the picture, which gives you an idea of how incredibly light the imprint is as well making it hard to see. A dried up poor impression of hammered copper that has no use in my home now.

Die Haftung ist auch auf glattem und sauberen Untergrund nicht gegeben, lässt sich problemlos abziehen und erfüllt somit nicht den Sinn einer Möbelfolie. Davon abgesehen ist die Kaum problemlos zu schneiden, da die Folie direkt reißt, nur leider nicht da wo sie soll.
Ich arbeite viel mit Folien und muss sagen, diese ist es nicht.
Positiv ist allerdings das Muster, es sieht wirklich aus wie ein Hammerschlag.
