This set has pieces that are red and others that are pink.

They are actual tools not plastic. They are small though so they are not really for heavy duty work.

All the tools are metal just like the real thing. This set is so cute. You'll love it. I haven't given them to my grand dudes yet because when I ordered them one was two years old now three.

For some reason he loves screw drivers. We watch them every day so I don't want him to damage anything!!! I can't wait to give the tool bag to the boys. The bag is so cute. Maybe I'll wait for Valentine's Day or Easter.

what material are the tools made of? are they plastic or metal?

These tools would fit a 5-year old&#39;s hand so they would definitely work for them. But this is a REAL tool, not plastic &quot;play&quot; tools. The hammer really hammers, the screwdriver really screws, etc. That is the best part of the tools (plus the price!).

I bought this for my 6 yr old as a Christmas present and we both absolutely love it. He used the screw driver Christmas Day to open everyone's toys that took batteries and the hammer which is perfect size for little hands to help hang new pictures. Of course it's not something you just give them and say go play but if you have a child who likes to fix things and always wants to help then this is perfect and the beat part is it's not plastic it's actual tools just mini size :)

Every time I break out my tool set or need to create or fix something my son is right by my side. No better way to bond with him than to give him some tools of his own to help participate with. It's a way I can pass on the knowledge my dad passed on to me when I was a kid, with excitement and empowerment of having his own tools to help dad get the job done; makes moments like this priceless.

I'm saving this for my son for Christmas, but I opened it to check it out, and the quality seems great. The clamps are strong but not strong enough to cause severe pain on a finger, etc.  My son will surely love feeling like a "big guy" with his metal tools.

We laughed ourselves silly when my darling 3 yr old granddaughter opened this tool set. Didn't know she calls a hammer a BANGER. It has every tool a dad could want his little one to have when he teaches her how to use them. They've been going to Home Depot workshops to make projects - - bird houses, etc and these tools will serve her well for a long time. Even though suggested for a 5 yr. old this 3 yr. old is advanced enough to learn to use most of them. Her mama says she wants a set for herself! :) Thanks for a great product!

My Uncle use to always by me tools for Christmas and why give one every year when you can give them all at once. My daughter is often in the garage with me while working and now she can help with her very own tool set.

Tools are strong enough to be used by me on my own projects which always make my daughter giggle since i am using pink tools.

Great starter Kit for my daughter(9 years old)

I just purchased two of Kids Starter Tool Kits as presents for my grandkids. The tools in the kit look pretty well made and are the right size for my grandkids. I am sure they will be happy to get these from Santa (stocking stuffers) and will use them to help out Grandpa when they are over at the house.

Great Gift for Grandkids

I ordered two of these tool kits awhile ago to give to my two little dude grandsons. They are a little young for these kits right now so I'll probably wait another year. I thought the price was great that's why I bought them.

The tools are made of metal just like the handyman size just a smaller version. The tools do have some weight on them not hollow and or flimsy at all. Well made. It even comes with an apron that's going to look so cute on them. The tools come in a very nice canvas bag and is just the right size for the little dudes.

My two year old dude saw the tool bag sitting on the counter, I never showed it to him or told him what it was but when he saw it he said "tool bag" right away. I was surprised. This kids favorite toy is his plastic hammer. They are going to love this kit as well any other kids I'm sure. You'd just have to make sure they're not fixing everything while causing damage at the same time!!

The little dudes are going to love this

I was able to introduce my daughter to the joys of building with this set. It is kid friendly so I was not worried about them hurting themselves with proper parent supervision. However, the best part of this was that I was able to spend time with my daughter and teach her how to build a birdhouse using these tools. Priceless experience and wonderful tool set.

Great parent/child activity!

This was a very nice combination of "real" tools, but adjusted for the kids. The tools were actually tools, but the hammer was kid-sized and there was things like safety glasses and an apron included to promote safety. The tool case that was part of the kit makes it easy and practical for quick clean-up and storage. Just need to remember that these are real tools and not for the too young or unsupervised. It would be pretty easy to pinch fingers in the handles of the needle-nose pliers or regular pliers, if the proper attention is not being paid.

Great gift for the beginner carpenter

the tiny tools all fit in a cigar box size bag. the pliers had so much slip and play in the hinge they were useless. kids should have real tools that work. the hammer is so light weight i doubt if it would even drive a finish nail (with a grown up using it)l. i will be buying real tools for the grandson and exchanging them with these toys in the bag.
