Encourages crawling!

Encourages crawling!
We bought this ball right before my baby started crawling at 5.5 months. He received it for Christmas, and it has really aided in his crawling abilities. I love how it rolls away so he has to chase after it. Now our little peanut is zooming all over the place!

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son who wasn't yet crawling, he still loved it! He would watch it and follow it around always trying to find it and capture it. It provided much entertainment during tummy time, which I think also helped with tummy time and getting him ready to crawl. Now that he does crawl he still follows it around and tries to catch it. I like how the ball moves on its own and encourages him to reach or move to play with it. The songs are catchy and I could probably repeat them all by heart. It also lasted quite awhile before we had to replace the batteries which was amazing considering we forgot to turn it off most of the time and it would start up whenever it was moved or kicked by accident. I would recommend this ball for anyone with a baby learning to crawl or crawling.

I ordered this ball for my youngest granddaughter who will turn one on the 23 of January. Her party is the next day. I had one of these before and it is so much fun for the kids. It moves and plays music while it teaches colors and shapes with word recognition. it has a lot of things to do on it for the child. This will be perfect for her. The expected delivery date for this to arrive was January 13, 2015 and it came on the 9th instead, just in time for the party. I was impressed with how quickly it arrived, I was very please about that. Way to go Amazon for another fast delivery. The packaging was ok too. Just a brown box with the description of the item, that's ok, she will see it anyway and not care what the box looks like. I recommend this toy for anyone who has small children. This is a great first learning toy and makes a great gift.

Like any toy baby gets bored eventually but the VTech toys always seem to keep her attention for a bit longer. She likes that is moves on its own and she is always trying to pick it up. She went from balancing on all fours to walking pretty quick so we never saw the full effect it had on helping baby to crawl but I see how it can be helpful to help teach baby to move. The songs are fun and its fun that it moves on its own. She likes the tags on it and there are lots of buttons and lights to keep her entertained. If baby gets bored with it, it will try to grab her attention a couple more times and then shut off on its own automatically if it isnt touched which is a nice feature to save on batteries :)

i bought this as a christmas gift for my then 6 month old who didn't care about attempting or learning to crawl lol this ball is super cute, comes with batteries already installed and has several interactive ways to play. it works better on hard floors as it does somehow propel itself to and fro. it can easily become annoying if baby isn't playing with it as it'll just roll on hard floors by itself while playing tunes and talking but you can easily turn it off at any time.

this did not teach my baby to crawl. he JUST started crawling well after 9 months but this is a super fun toy for him now. i would gift this to anyone with a baby.

I would reccommend this for babies who have learned their sense of movement first. I tried it with my sonwhen he had just turned 6 months, and had started getting on his hands and pusshing himself upward. But there was no point at that time. He hadn't learned that he could get from point A to B if he moved him arms and legs. BUt I can say he wanted to, everything about the ball made him want the ball, he just had no idea that he could "get" to the ball. After we got him a walker and he found his sense of movement and that he could move, the ball is awesome to help motivate him to crawl! He isn;t their yet but boy oh boy does he wiggle and try.

    Pro's:
    1. My son is interedted in the ball
    2. No issue with mancanics so far.

    Con's:
Does not work well on carper. Get on any other surface.

I purchased this as a donation for a toy drive for children and infants who are in the hospital, so I wasn't able to see it in action with an infant. Upon arrival, I opened it up and tested it out. It is a heavier toy, but it does roll around and is interactive for an infant. The only problem I see is with the volume being so easily accessible. It is harder to switch but baby hands and fingers are very strong. I ordered the frustration free packaging, which was a brown box with the details of the contents listed on it. This was my favorite toy out of the few that I ordered.

This is a very well built toy. The ball has something inside that will make it roll by itself after it is touched. So, you touch it, it talks, and stops. Then, like a minute later, it starts rolling again. We thought it was a little creepy at first, ball moving by itself, but now we are getting used to it. It as music, spoken words, prompts the baby to play with it. The only downside is that it's a somewhat annoying female voice singing a song when prompting to play with it. But the baby loves it and I know I'm weird when it comes to noise/sounds so I still give it five stars.
