We have owned this game since last August 2013 and it has been one of my grandson's favorites. He just loves the fact that he can fight other monkey opponents and for him he has a blast playing it. You get to customize your monkey and as you fight his skills improve but so does the quality of the opponents that you are matched against. The objective is to knock out your opponent. You throw punches with your right hand button and block punches with the left hand button. When stars appear you quickly touch them and you get to throw extra powerful punches and stun your opponent. When a wheel appears you and your opponent throw haymakers like a windmill and the faster you spin the wheel the faster you throw punches. Ultimately you either win by KO or you can lose.

As I mentioned my grandson loves this app and has played it a lot. At the end you get a score sheet showing all the ways you gained points. The graphics are colorful and drawn very well. Good detail and cartoon quality realism. The audio is also OK and if it gets on your nerves you can control the volume.

The more you fight the more your abilities increase. Your strength, endurance and speed improve and you will need it as the opponents also get stronger, faster and can fight longer. As you play you can also unlock achievements for winning boxing matches. You can touch the dice to roll them and it will randomly pick a dress up for your fighter and perhaps add a Mohawk and different color fighting gloves, shoes and trunks.

Overall this is a fun game and like I said my grandson loves it. It plays well on his Kindle Fire and on my Android tablet. The game play does get repetitive and it involves a lot of finger tapping. Children don't seem to mind it though and have a good time.

The more button does take you to the Apple App Store, Google Play store or to the Amazon app store. You should know this before your children start buying a bunch of new games. The app has no adware, malware or invasive permissions. It does use the internet for Amazon licensing and for using the more button. The app also reads and writes to your external storage. It automatically stored itself on my SD card memory. I turned off the WIFI and the game still plays.

I rate this game at 5 stars for good graphics and kids just love it. Its finger boxing with great graphics! Playing it is always fun and it puts a smile on your face.

Monkey Boxing? who would have thought about that? I must say Kudos to developer for creating those funny characters on the screen. I love the slow motion and cartoons. The game itself starts well and graphics and sounds are well presented. But after playing couple of levels I found that it was way too repetitive. The opponent's moves are pretty much the same every-time and I could easily anticipate every move and win the levels.

Currently, There are various options one can try to make your monkey character have extra speed, stamina and what not in a campaign style progress into levels but the actual game-play keeps repeating same every single time. Just keep punching and blocking. Soon the game looses it's charm because of this repetitiveness. IMHO this could be improved by making the AI little bit more unpredictable or make him move around more than normal or add various other controls to make it more interesting.

I am keeping this in Amazon Cloud for an update and will attempt it again in the future. Thanks to developer for making this game free for the day. I am rating this with 3 stars!

    Thanks!

Kinda entertaining for 5-10 minutes? Even though there's customizing, and training, and opponents, etc.. it still feels VERY one dimensional. All that is a wash as soon as a match starts. Each game played is the same repetitive thing. Keep pressing the one punch button until the opponent blocks, then block theirs and start punching again. Tap right a bunch... Hold/Tap left a bunch.. And there's always a spin 'challenge' each fight..

Graphics are good but that doesn't make it a good game. Game play should be more complex. This will bore all demographics, any age after 10 minutes. All the training is pointless, as it pretty much keeps you at the same pace as your next competitor. And there's no indication of whether each training sesson is affected by how much effort you put in. (When it starts, you could spin the wheel fast or slow and there's no difference).

To make the game somewhat interesting, it needs more controls. More difficulties. Make this design 'easy'. Extra difficulties should offer more controls, and harder opponents. I'm 19-0, and could keep winning with my eyes closed. Each and every fight is exactly the same! Each opponent should have a signature move that you haven't yet seen, which requires figuring out how to defend against.. think good old punch out on Nintendo).

I'm really impressed with this game. It is not overly difficult like some fighting games (in fact, it is dead simple), the graphics are decent for mobile, the game play is responsive and fluid and I find no bugs. The game lets you play it but you still need skills to rock the statistics. As a FAOTD this is a must have. For $3? Hmm... well that depends on how much you like games like this. I personally would not pay that much. It feels a bit high to me. Regardless, good game!

APRIL 2, 2014 UPDATE: I checked this app thoroughly for safety and respect for privacy and it contains NO adware, spyware or analytics. It's perfectly safe to install. :)

Buen juego de boxeo entre monos. Aunque se hace a veces repetitivo, los cambios de look que se le pueden hacer a tu mono lo hace entretenido y divertido.

This has been a best seller on Play for some time. I just didn't jump on the hype bandwagon. Wish I had now even tho it would have meant me paying I'd have had a few hours of game time under my belt by now and it really would have been money well spent.

The gameplay instantly reminded me of the old Decathlon games way back on the Amiga 500 and even the Spectrum 128k. Yep frantic tapping will get you results however technique in terms of rhythm and coordination will also come into play.

The graphics are great and so far work flawlessly. The slow motion cut scenes and combo moves are a great highlight.

This has everything I like in a mobile game. Clear in game tutorial. Simple pick up and play controls. Gradual difficulty level. Quirky fun theme. Suitable for all ages. Great graphics. Plays well on both tablet and phone. Originality. And insanely addictive.

Thank you very much Amazon and Crescent Moon Games.
