    An update to my previous review: As another reviewer has pointed out, the static noise and muffling is most noticeable when the ambient sound is lower. So if you are talking directly at the camera or recording your child playing, etc. I think it will be very noticeable as you'll be recording mainly voices. If you are using this to shoot a party and there is music playing constantly or some other sort of loud, constant sound, the muffling won't be something that is very noticeable.

    I have a 5s and this fits very snugly and securely. The lenses seem to be very high quality and construction is solid. If you are into taking still images then this is no doubt a great lens addition for your phone. For this reason I was a bit torn about my review but the bottom line is the olloclip isn't everything it claims to be.

    However, a major flaw when recording any video is that the olloclip covers up the microphone on the back of the iPhone between the flash and the iPhone camera lens. This causes a lot of static noise to be picked up when recording, in addition to muffling the sound of anything you are trying to record. If it were only muffled, that'd be one thing but the fact that even holding the phone totally still it will pick up an annoying static is basically a deal breaker for me when trying to use this for video.

    I waited a long time to pull the trigger on this expensive product and was very excited to receive it. Unfortunately this was a disappointment and I think for shooting video you are better off with one of the lenses that you put on your phone that uses the little magnetic rings and they are much less likely to block the mic.

    I bought this camera based on the reviews and web research. The camera i was most interested in was the wide-angle one and ALL pictures in wide angle are bowed out. if you look at the photos from the manufacturer they look "normal" but in reality, they are not. you will see curving towards the end of the photo. I contacted the manufacturer and they first told me it is defective, then told me i bought a counterfeit one (which I hadn't). Once I proved it is not counterfeit they then told me "oh, well actually the pictures from wide angle do bow out." Essentially, the manufacturer back tracked and ultimately, the wide angle is not good quality and doesn't work. BEWARE before you buy and the customer service from the manufacturer is terrible and not customer-focused.

    The product is as advertised and quality seems good, but one thing I forgot about, was my impact rubber case. The lens does NOT fit over a 5s with a case that makes the phone thicker. It took me a LONG time to get my case of as they are like a glove, so that doesn't seem like something I'm going to want to do very often. It then fit over the phone. It worked. Then when I took the lens off, it shredded my thin screen protector in that corner. This was all my fault, but I question if the designers are in the real world on this. I mean everyone I know uses an impact cover and lens protector sheet. So I give this 3 stars because it targets a vast market of phones that are probably going to be a pain to use it with.
