I would think the distance and metal garage door might block the signal. I could not provide you any further information on that one.

The Heath Zenith units have a different module for inside and outside use. The inside module has slightly different power handling capabilities than outside module. 
This system has three inside modules which can each handle 13 amps.

Yes, it can control the power to the garage door opener if the opener uses less than 13 amps, but this won&#39;t open and/or close the garage door.

The three outlet receivers get their power from the outlet they are plugged into. No batteries for the receivers, only for the remote control.

The remote outlets are all on the same frequency - but are opperated separately. The outlets can be within 66 feet of each other and still be opperated from the 1 control unit. Each remote outlet has it's own corresponding button on the control unit - so 1 table lamp on 1, 1 floor lamp on 2 and a fan or other device on 3.

There are 3 separate buttons on the remote. They are on separate frequencies so they won't interfere with each other.

Received the product in a timely manner. It was fairly easy to set up. It does operate the floor lamp I wanted to operate it with. It works reliably every time I use it. So, it's a great product for the price.

I was going outside in the front and back to turn on and off my fountains. Then I discovered these! Fantastic. Now I can turn on and off the fountains without going outside! Love it!

3 plug in outlets with one remote. Remote has 3 matching buttons to the corresponding outlets all 3 on separate frequencies and identified on the remote and the outlets. The outlet your appliance or light plugs into, is rather large, approximately the size of a match box or may be slightly smaller than a can of soda. Comes with an included battery. Wished I had purchased it a long time ago!

I use one plug for a living room lamp that is hard to reach. Having a remote control to turn this lamp on and off is a godsend. The other two plugs are for lamps in my bedroom. I keep the remote by my bed to turn the living room lamp on in the morning and my bedroom lamps off at night. Works great through walls. I am very pleased with this product!
