If you've played Snowy's Lunch Rush, or Diner Dash, then you will be familiar with the concept of time-management games of this nature. Unlike the two games I just mentioned, DELICIOUS forgoes having players try to seat the customers. "Please seat yourself" is likely the sign just inside the door of your diner, farm, chocolate boutique, Television Cooking Show. Not having to worry about that one aspect allows the player to relax a little and actually not have to worry so much about every little color combination and progressive seating of patrons in the same old chair. The story line and character development are well done considering this is an inexpensive game.

DELICIOUS should appeal to young and old alike. It is easy to pick up and play, yet hard to put down. No doubt this game is addictive. I picked this up as the FAOTD and to be honest, I would have easily paid the $1.99 regular price. The game is professionally done. Unlike so many other apps/games, this one can be played WITHOUT being connected to the internet.

The game exits cleanly and I found no ad-ware or Mal-ware in the app. This game displayed properly on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and ran smoothly. Of all of the apps I have seen recently as the FAOTD, this game is possibly going to top the list as a MUST HAVE for the past month! Do not pass this one up, this will easily entertain kids on a long car ride for several hours.

I rated this at 4 stars because I really like the gameplay, story, and this type of time management game in general. This being a FAOTD recently introduced me to the Delicious Emily series of games for PC as well. This appears to be a pretty good port to Android - some of the more "tedious" or "clunky" features have been streamlined a little for limited screen space, but otherwise, it's pretty true to the original PC game and I would rate it as 5 stars (if not for the 'fatal flaw' I will discuss next) - it's similar to the "Diner Dash" games (and many other TM style games for restaurant management) but skips the (to me) tedious steps of seating customers. You have tables open and they seat themselves, or your tables are all in use or dirty and the customer leaves - not desirable to every type of player, but far preferable to me.

This edition has a "fatal flaw" on the Nexus 7 (2013) - and reading other reviews, on other 7" tablets as well. The bottom of the screen gets cut off. It's still there, items 'live' there for you to click, but you can't SEE them. On the 1st restaurant, Betty's, no problem, nothing critical is lost (or it isn't cut off). On the 2nd restaurant, The Farm, 4 items that get used heavily are mostly off the screen and I had to redo the first level a couple times to figure out what was going on. On the 3rd restaurant, The Candy Shop, it becomes a true game-ender and you never get to move on to the 4th restaurant or get to your TV show as the Candy Apple setup is entirely off the screen and unreachable. Game over. I'm just glad I was able to pick up the PC version of this (and the other 8 or 9 games in the series) elsewhere so I can at least see how it ends in this installment.

Uninstalled until this issue can be resolved. Though given the 2 instances of the same game in the market, one that loads as a teeny screen on tablets instead of stretching to fill, and this one with a 'similar but different' flaw being released later - and requiring a separate purchase even if you had the other version - I'm not hopeful that there will be a true upgrade to this version.

Also - if you are wholeheartedly against ads of any kind in a paid app - this DOES have ads every few (3-5?) levels, but they are between levels at least and only seem to be for other similar games by the same developer.

My daughters and I enjoyed playing this cute little game at first, but, once we played the first few levels, we discovered some problems. Once we progressed from the restaurant to the farm, we found that we couldn't even see most of the farm products to be prepared for the customers; on my 7" Samsung Galaxy tablet, these appeared so far down at the bottom of the screen that only a pixel or two of them were visible. Although we managed to complete those levels (with that added bit of difficulty), now that we've reached the candy shop levels, we've run into an even worse problem; there's something even farther down toward the bottom of the screen that we cannot select in any way (and most of the customers seem to want it, of course), so we cannot proceed any further. It's a really cute little game that we'd continue to enjoy if that particular bug could be fixed. If you have a larger/different type of tablet, I'd suggest that you give this app a try, but only if you're prepared to uninstall it if you encounter a similar difficulty. I would NOT suggest you buy the app, though; we got it as the FAOTD, so we're disappointed, but not upset, that we cannot play it any further.

Update: I just pulled down an update for this app that resolved that problem we were having with it. It's so refreshing to find a company that stays in touch with their customer base and cares enough to fix bugs. Thank you! My daughters and I can now enjoy many more fun moments with Emily. :-) Switching my review from 3 to 5 stars.

I really like the Delicious games, and wanted to play them in order. (I started on the getting the house/cafe one first) I was disappointed because it keeps glitching on my kindle on the second day and shutting the game down. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the glitch keeps occurring. I keep checking for updates hoping for the bug fixes but none have been forth coming. I would like to see how Emily started in Snuggleford but the game just shuts down. If they fix the bugs, I'll change the rating. I would suggest that if you have a kindle don't bother getting it. The other games are good but this one will just frustrate you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr schönes Spiel !!!
