The color and clarity of the photos was great outdoors during the day. Lighting seems to confuse it though and It doesn't differentiate well on what it needs to focus on and pictures at night do not come out very well. Take some time to learn the features and know what it can do and what it can't~for the price it is a fun camera to have around and to take on trips.

I purchased this camera because my son has the earlier version, the 260 and has been pleased with it. I bought the 280 because I wanted a GPS and WIFI capability, along with a 20 X zoom and this camera has provided these features during a month's use. Picture quality is good, especially considering it has a lens with the 20 x feature. Battery life is good.

This is a great camera for anyone serious about their pictures but wants the convince of size from a point and shoot. I am an amateur photographer and this camera has served me well. It captures photos well in low light and has good clairity and zoom. The battery should last all day as long as you keep the wifi off but I just bought a second battery. I would recommend this camera

I HAVE A PREVIOUS PURCHASE OF A SIMILAR SIZE CANON CAMERA. THIS ONE HAS A VERY EFFECTIVE UPDATED ZOOM CAPABILITY WHICH ALLOWS ME TO TAKE CLEAR PICTURES FROM LONGER DISTANCES

Bought the camera to take it on a trip to Alaska. Worked great! Compact enough to fit in a pocket, yet powerful enough to get up close to objects far away. When you get to the end of the zoom, the picture is a bit grainy.

I am really enjoying my new camera. It's taking excellent pictures and I was really surprised at the battery life. Had it out in 23* weather on a backpacking trip and it stayed charged the whole time. My sister had her expensive camera with us and her battery died before the first day was over. Nice little camera for a beginner.

So far so good. As soon as I figure out the wireless stuff, I'm sure I'll love that part too. I can download photos/videos by putting the card in my computer, so I'm doing ok.
