The only issue I had with the fit was the top being loose, but I have a small bust, so I have that issue with most dresses. A little fashion tape fixed that, though. There was a small hole in the sleeve, but wasn't too noticable while I was wearing it. It was beautiful, perfect for a spring wedding, and I LOVED having pockets.
I attended a beautiful church wedding and modern reception in Missouri and loved this dress! The bright color was great for spring and it was a cold day, so the sleeves were perfect. I'm rather short so the length was a bit longer than I would have liked but it was conservative enough while being cute. The dress was tight around my torso when sitting for long periods of time but other than that, very comfortable. The top of the sleeves also slipped off my shoulders slightly. It also HAS POCKETS. I recommend this dress.
So once again RTR's customer service saves the day. I rented a dress that apparently came back damaged from the last renter. So I worked with Jeremy and not only did he sent me a few dresses, but he also sent a second shipment to my in-laws house with a few other sizes (since I was leaving and wouldn't be able to get these dresses at my house). Basically - AMAZING once again. As for the dress, it's incredibly well made! It's stunning. I've never received more compliments or felt so sassy in a dress. It's definitely tightly fit through the ribcage, but a little loose up top, but really nothing of big concern. Thick enough to ditch the bra though (so yay for that).
The 10 was a little big on top, but I held everything together with some tape. I was worried the sleeves might be tight on what I lovingly call my "doughy arms", but they fit fine. Really lovely dress. My five year old cousin said it was the prettiest dress at the wedding, so that's a win!
This was my second choice by the same designer and it really hit the mark. No bra, no shape wear needed and even pockets.. I deducted a point for the small hole on the lace on the sleeve that I noticed on arrival.
I was very nervous about this dress fitting since I'm usually a 6 but they only had a 4. The 4 fit snugly, but it did fit. I have a short torso so the top was a little long on me, and because it was so tight, that resulted in the sleeves slipping off my shoulders a bit. I really liked the dress, but I had gotten it for a conservative religious wedding and had hoped it would be less low-cut. Gorgeous dress, but sexier than I expected. I didn't wear a bra and didn't have any issues with that, even through lots and lots of dancing.
I hesitated whether to check "runs small" or "runs large" because while it felt super snug (not in an unflattering but in a kind of intense way) around the waist, the shoulders were almost falling off me. Thank goodness for fashion tape or else! I wouldn't recommend this dress for ladies who have smaller tops. There were also a few holes in the lacey bits but nothing super noticeable.
The material and cut on this dress would have been great. (very slimming) And it even has pockets! It also was knee length for me (which was good). Unfortunately, they were out of my size (10) so I got an 8, and it was just too tight on the waist., so I didn't wear it.
This was a replacement dress chosen for me by an RTR stylist based on my hearts. I had another dress in a similar color. I tried it but it was kind f average looking. The material is like a taffeta and stiff. I have a small bust (34b) but the decalotage on this dress is low cut. My bust was popping out of the top. I might wear it for a Halloween costume, as a milk maid with my hair in two braids and carrying a bucket. LOL. It is a cute dress and runs true to size. I am wondering if I can make it work with a camisole or something underneath. It is a good dress if you are either flat-chested or if you love showing off your cleavage.
too tight around the chest area
The combination of this silhouette, lace sleeves and wide back/neck line is unique to this dress. I went to an event with 200+ guests and no other women shared my look. The design is incredibly feminine and flirty. The length of the dress with my strappy camel sandals made me feel sexy and mature. You definitely want a strapless bra for this dress. The structure of the dress did not help push the padded tatas up.
