I have had a single-high coleman quickbed that I've been using for well over a decade. It still holds air, but your butt is on the floor (or ground if camping) by the next morning. I've spent many nights on the Coleman Double-high quickbed when staying with out-of-town family, so I figured I would bite the bullet and buy a better portable bed.
I'm giving it a "5" despite my initial REJECTED bed. I inflated it easily (within minutes) using a rechargeable Coleman Quickpump, but I could easily hear the hissing. Sure enough it had a 1/4" cut on the underside of the bed. I sure am glad that I tested it instead of putting it away for camping season! The material seemed less durable than the same exact bed that my family had, but I gave it another shot with Amazon's super-easy return policy.
The second bed arrived promptly and held air no problem. It also seemed to be of a better construction. The vinyl seemed thicker. It makes me wonder if they have more than one supplier? Either way, the new bed pumps up very firm and comfortably sleeps two. I may come back and update my review over time if anything goes wrong. So far, this is an impressive bed for a good price.
I am not dinging the bed for the flawed first attempt because I imagine that it isn't easy to keep something this huge from getting cut in the production process. The end result is that I have an awesome bed for half of what I would expect to pay for what appears to be good quality (my family has had the same bed for a year or two already). The surface is soft and grippy! It holds a queen fitted sheet in place so that you don't end up sleeping directly on the quickbed in the middle of the night.
If you are on the market for a good deal and a very comfortable double-high quickbed (the single high can't compare), go for it!!
