I've been looking for a flocked tree for 2 years now... they can be so pricey, which was hard to justify as it is our "2nd"/dining room tree. Saw this one one display in store, looking a bit dilapidated, but for the price I thought it might have potential. So glad I took the leap! You do have to work w/ the branches a bit to minimize gaps/holes, but not anymore than most artificial trees. The flocking wasn't even as disastrous as I had anticipated to vacuum up. I'm quite pleased with my purchase :)

Wonderful Flocked Tree!

I purchased this tree yesterday at our local Walmart here in northeast Pennsylvania. I saw all the positive reviews and took note of the negative ones. We've always had artificial trees but we change them every 3 to 4 years so I was looking for something I didn't have to buy lights for and I didn't have to decorate with cotton for that snowy look and came across this. When I opened the box I will tell you there is a chemical type smell which is probably what they use for the flocking appearance. That did not deter me and immediately started to put it together. Some reviews spoke of the flock coming off the tree and yes that is true, it is more like static foam and I had it on my black clothing which is not a problem because clothing is washable the floor did not have much on it and it was easily vacuumed up and all lights on the tree worked perfectly. When you begin assembling it the branches are bound by the electrical wire and once you unwrap them they fall out flat and this is where people probably have problems and say that you can see the pole. Any artificial tree will not look real if you do not expand the branches properly. As with all our other artificial trees I expanded the branches in a propeller motion in other words a star like appearance one up, one to the side, one to the bottom, the other side and filled in as I went along. I just kept spreading them in a circular motion outwards leaving the limb with the pine cone on it pointing forward. By spreading the branches in this way you are filling in the entire area around it in sort of a pipe cleaner appearance so to speak but in the end when it all comes together it looks like a full, realistic tree. I attached the second section the same way removing the plastic bottom And putting it into the first sections hole and expanded the branches that also fell right down In a hinged motion. The top part of the tree when inserted is like the other artificial trees we've had. The top is always one piece that Is pointing upright. You'll need to bend these branches downwards and outwards leaving the single top piece for the Angel. Play around with them a bit until they have the appearance that you desire making it look full and able to hold ornaments. The entire project took me approximately 50 minutes and I did it by myself. It was not heavy and I'd say it was comparable to the other trees I've assembled. I advise anyone with breathing problems such as myself to wear a mask from the hardware store while assembling because the dust from the faux flock is noticible. All in all I'm happy with my purchase. I've never had a fully flocked tree before so getting used to all that white on my tree will adjust over time. I wish the pine cones weren't covered in flock but I'm going to see in the daylight how I like them because I believe I noticed last night they can be twisted to a more bare area. That's another note, they wasted no expense when he came to flocking this tree there is a lot of flock. I'm just used to all green since a child. Id recommend this tree to those who are rather artsy and are familiar with rearranging branches, however, if you want a flocked tree for a great price I'd suggest buying it and trying the star method. Hope this review was helpful.

Love this tree!

I love this Christmas tree. It looks like snow has fallen on it and it beautiful without decorations. I cannot wait to see what it looks like when I am finished with it. I would recommend this tree to everyone.

Just Breathtaking

So far I love this tree! I recently purchased it so I'm not sure how well it is going to hold up after a few years but it seems really well made and it is very full. You can't hardly buy a tree anymore that you can't see straight through unless you want to pay big money for it. This tree is much much prettier in person that in the photo too! The lights reflecting off the snow on the tree makes them a pretty white color instead of yellow. It is the perfect size also! Not too big but definitely not too small! It is covered in the snow and there are a bunch of pine cones on the ends of the branches! This is an awesome tree for the price!

The Tree arrived within a week of ordering. Fast and easy assembly. Beautiful when fully decorated. For the price I would highly recommend!

Winter Frost Pine

First, the not-so-great: the flocking looks wonderful, but it does flake off - not enough to even tell in the tree's appearance, but, by the time I finished decorating the tree, my clothes and my carpet and nearby furniture were covered in white flecks. The good news is that it all cleans up fairly easily, just be prepared. The tree was very easy to unpack and put together. Be forewarned that the branch bits are squeezed together to save space, and you will have to spread out the "fronds" of each individual branch to make the tree look full. Once you have it set up and filled out, though, it's really a lovely tree. There are many, many lights, all white, and we got a lot of compliments at the family Christmas dinner.

A bit messy, but beautiful

I really like the look of this tree. My only issue is that a small sections of the lights near the bottom do not work. Could not figure out what was wrong as half of the strand was working. To much trouble to return so I just turned unlighted section towards the wall.

Tree looks great, but for some reason the wires have a short (went through every bulb...on both trees) my wife liked the look so we kept the second tree.

If you are buying it for the prelighting, do not purchase. If you are purchasing for the flocked, go for it.

problem with lights.

The first year this tree came out they sold out before I could get one and I was SO upset! They also did not restock so I had to wait another year to buy one. I waited all year for it and bought it just as soon as it was stocked in October and it was GOEGEOUS! The very NEXT Christmas half the bulbs went out! The entire top wouldn't light up at ALL and then half of them here and there went out all the way to the bottom. It was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to even FIND the burnt out bulbs, much less replace them, so I bought white string lights and put them on the tree since I still loved the flocked effect. (Even though it's irritating to have to put lights on a pre-lit tree!!)
This went on for the next two seasons, but this year when I went to put it up the flocking has now turned an awful dirty brown-ish color. It looks terrible. I'm going to go ahead and use it this year and cover it with a lot of ornaments so it won't be as noticeable, but it's going in the trash after Christmas and I'll have to buy a new one for next year. :( I cannot believe how DISSAPOINTED I am with this tree. I wonder if all the positive reviews are from people who haven't had the tree very long? If you are looking for a DISPOSABLE Christmas tree, this is the one for you! I would NOT recommend this tree to anyone!
