The Detox Kitchen is loved by celebrities including Elle Macpherson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Suki Waterhouse, Lara Stone, Princess Eugenie and James Corden.
Lily has always had an innate understanding of the power of good food. Growing up with her two brothers, family dinners always consisted of wholesome, home cooked meals and subsequently Lily has always had a very healthy relationship with food.
Launching the Detox Kitchen seemed like a natural fit as Lily truly wanted to revolutionise the way we approach healthy eating. In 2012, when Detox Kitchen launched, the diet industry consisted of calorie-led, uninspiring, often over processed food and Lily believed that through using whole ingredients and an abundance of fresh herbs and spices, that healthy food didn’t have to be boring and restrictive, it could be delicious, satisfying and full of joy.
Lily is the CEO of Detox Kitchen and oversees every aspect of the company. But her true love is in developing the recipes that her customers eat. The meals are inspired from her travels throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and Lily works closely with all of her suppliers to ensure that every ingredient sourced is of the highest quality.
Lily’s mission is to ‘get more people eating and enjoying healthy food’, and with that in mind, Lily and her team are planning on continued growth for Detox Kitchen, with a focus on e-commerce and retail.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 March 2016I bought this book last year and I love it. It's a kitchen and health companion for life. I consider myself a simple home cook and I love how Lily's recipes are introducing me to new ways of combining food with incredible flavours. Rob's nutrition advise is clear and straightforward. The indexing of the health issues and nutrition know-how is really helpful and easy to read. I've been trying about one new recipe a week and they are really easy once you've done it once. I'm just about to order a book for my best friend, she's been a vegetarian all her life and I showed her the book. Although it has a few fish and white meat recipes, it's perfect for her. It's also perfect for a fish loving, meat reducer like me!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 January 2022I have to admit I haven't yet cooked from this book, but I am already genuinely impressed by its contents. I was a little trepidatious of the name "detox" that it may contain faddy, insubstantial and bland recipes, but this could not be further from the truth. I want to make every recipe! Lots of different ideas for chicken and fish in here, and different ways of cooking vegetables. There's also a nice nutrition section at the back and some suggestions for weekly meal plans. The advice is common sense and non-preachy, with a focus on whole foods, lots of plants and variety. Love it!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 August 2017Lovely book, it is not preachy at all (despite being called a Bible) but just offers nice healthy and easy to make foods. Once you have some of the core ingredients you can use them for so many dishes, and the side salads are versatile. The great thing is, once you have made the main course you can opt for the easy microwave rice or just a quick salad or peas to compliment it. I do not go dairy free in my diet but it has opened my eyes to what else is out there. You can easily use dairy products instead of what it suggests - such as normal yoghurt instead of soy. I eat the granola daily, and make the oat bars as part of my packed lunch. Absolutely delicious!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 May 2015I love how Lily & Rob have balanced delicious recipes with the nutritional advise, tips and pointers in this book. Their weekly plans are easy to follow, helping you plan your own mini detox when you might need it at certain points in the year. This coupled with masses of gorgeous recipes, easy to make packed lunch ideas, nutrition basics & impressive healthy dishes to whip up for a get together with friends - this book is going to be a favourite in both my kitchen at home and at work. A must have, go-to recipe/nutrition bible that I know I'll keep for years...
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 January 2016This book was just what I was looking for. I needed new healthy recipes, with lots of vegetables and salads that would be easy for me to take to work for lunch. This book is perfect, I've only made 2 recipes so far and both have been great, I can't wait to try more. The recipes all seem pretty simple to make and I haven't spotted any obscure ingredients. It's easy to follow and there's lots of delicious looking photos. There's also lots of info in this book of the benefits of different foods and which foods can be used to treat various health problems. Calorie content is listed for each recipes, along with which nutrients the recipe is rich in and what it's good for. I strongly recommend this book!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 February 2016Item arrived on time but was bashed and looked dirty - a bit disappointed!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 February 2016Not sure when l ordered this ,thought it would probably join all the other diet/health books getting dusty on the shelf ,but it turned out to be very informative with great uncomplicated recipes, this is not a dust gatherer.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 February 2016I have cooked from this practically everyday since I bought it 2 months ago, and it has changed my whole eating style and my health for the better. Lily's recipes are really easy to follow and delicious, including good fish and chicken/turkey ideas. Vegetarians are superbly catered for and vegans too. But this book really is a bible for anyone wanting to avoid gluten, dairy and/or sugar, and the nutrition section of the book is the most comprehensive and sensible I have ever seen. The only bad thing is that almost all my collection of recipe books have become obsolete.

Super Buch mit vielen tollen Bildern und Rezepten, die dazu anregen, den Kochlöffel zu schwingen. 5.0 out of 5 stars This is simply excellent source of superb
This is simply excellent source of superb, healthy recipes for all kinds of restrictive diets. I have never recommended a cookbook before but this one is exceptional. I'm not anything more than an adequate cook but am willing to have a go at most things, and I found it easy to produce tasty, healthy food even if it may not have resembled the pictures on the page.
I bought it because I enjoy puddings and desserts but am now on a severely restricted sugar diet. I found a couple of interesting recipes for non-sugar desserts featured in The Daily Telegraph, and finally tracked the source down to this book. Originally published in the UK, it's been available here in the US since the first half of 2015 (I think).
