    I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my best friend. He really is something of a pessimist, so I thought this gift would be perfect for him! Just so everyone knows, the glass is not two-toned. When I took it out of the box before wrapping it (to make sure it was in-tact), my twin sister was surprised that it was not red on top like in the picture. I told her that, in the picture, the red is supposed to be some sort of drink. So I suppose the picture is a little misleading; although, I was not under the impression that the glass would be two-toned.

    Anyways, the glass is not very large. It's more of a novelty gift than a functional gift. Which is fine with me; I wasn't expecting it as much more than a novelty, as the product isn't even dishwasher safe. It's cute, though. The top of the glass says "Half Full" while the bottom, although unreachable by any liquid beverage, is printed with "Half Empty". Long story short, this is the perfect novelty gift for that one friend we all have that could need a reminder that the glass cannot (and in this case, literally cannot) always be half empty.

It is made of glass and double walled so the beverage stays cold, while looking "cool". I purchased one each for my son, son-in-law and my daughter's boyfriend, as well as one for myself. I ordered two initially, and have since ordered others. All think the glass is cool and neat. I even purchased a coffee mug and wine glass of the same genre that I gave away and everyone is pleased with these items.

    I bought this as a Fathers day present and my Dad loved it. It looks cool and does what it's supposed to do, function as a glass cup.

    Unfortunately it doesn't fit perfectly onto top of a beer bottle with the ability to flip it and fill it up like I thought it might.
    As far as functioning as a chilled mug it is decent, but an actual beer mug gets cooler and stays that way for longer keeping your beer chilled for longer.
    As far as durability it's more or less the same as your average household glass but the unique doesn't make it's strength any lower, it's survived a couple small drops so far but I'm pretty sure a long drop would shatter it just like any other glass.

    This glass is great if there are no flaws.
    The first glass we received did not stand straight and had a hole somewhere that allowed liquid in between the two walls so it remained looking dirty and grungy no matter how well it was cleaned.
    We did buy a second glass and it was perfect, straight and without leaks. The glass is made of a type of glass that is super super lightweight almost like plastic but it does 'ping' like glass when you tap it.
    I would definately recommend this as a cool gift for the beer drinker who has everything, just be sure to check the quality as soon as you get it.

    When I bought this I expected to get a very thick walled glass, but instead the inside and outside walls are extremely thin and hollow between them. The nice thing about this is that it keeps your beverage cold because it's well insulated, although I'm nervous that it's only a matter of time before I drop it in the sink and break it. Also, since this glass is blown there is a small hole at the bottom of the glass that is filled in with glue. I sent back the first glass that I received because there was a huge chunk of glue past the seal inside the hollow part of the glass. The second glass that I received had a much cleaner glue appearance, but after a gentle hand wash a little bit of water made it through the seal and into the hollow portion of the glass which was annoying. I'm still keeping it because it looks cool and it's well insulated, but the quality isn't what I hoped for for such an expensive glass.

    I'm very pleased! Great product, great price. Before purchasing, I read about water getting inside the glass (it's double-walled), how the glass is too thin, and how it had internal condensation after being in a dishwasher. I thought I'd write this review to clear a few things up.

    The glass itself seems to be about as thick as your standard wine glass, possibly a bit thicker. It's tough to gauge since you cannot get a feel of a single layer of glass to test it (again, because it's double-walled).

    Some people have said that water made it's way through a small hole in the bottom of the stein. It seems that the company has resolved this issue. There is a small hole in the bottom, however it is sealed with a glue that seems quite durable and watertight.

    As far as the dishwasher goes, don't do it. The box clearly states that it's not dishwasher-safe.
