    Exactly as described (dimensions and capacity). If you want a larger teapot, why not order one? Unlike some products, this one has a full description. The picture does not do it justice. As noted elsewhere, this item is a smile-maker. Teabags work just fine (sorry to all the purists). I use loose leaf tea which I throw into the pot, add the water from my kettle, then let it steep for the time appropriate to the tea variety. I pour the result through my FORLIFE infuser into the cup and enjoy. I have not had the issue of burning knuckles. Perhaps a tea towel around the hand could solve this if you do. My secret vice: I now steep my coffee in this pot and pour it through the infuser. Better than drip or press. When the pot is not in use, I give it display space because it makes me happy just to see the pouty little gal. At this price I'm ordering a small herd.

    The teapot was exactly as ordered. Unlike some of the reviewers, I bothered to look at the size before I ordered it, so I knew exactly what I was getting and I wasn't surprised by the small size. It easily stores about 2 to 3 mugs of tea, standard size. I experienced no problems pouring it. The lid fits just fine, and I only had to hold it to the pot to keep it there when I was pouring the last bits to where I had the pot nearly upside down. The pot works just as it's supposed to and it's the cutest little thing. When it arrived, it was packaged well and safely, and I received it without any chips or scratches. I love the snot out of it.

    I actually got this teapot to use as a watering can for plants. I saw a plastic one that had poor reviews and this was suggested as a related item. It's just such a great and thoughtful design. I love that the trunk is the spout, it sits on 4 legs and even the handle is like the elephant's tail. It's a decent size (exactly as described) and glossy white all over. Holds about a pint of water.

    Some others have mentioned they didnt get a lid. I did, however, will agree it's a bit wobbly. It fell off a few days after I got it and smashed on my ceramic floor. Since I was using it to water plants it doesnt matter to me. The hole has a diameter of 1.5 inches so maybe if you had another lid you can put it on.

    It may be worth noting that the teapot arrived rolled up in bubble wrap only. No box. I really didnt think this was a good way to package a ceramic item, though it arrived undamaged along with other items I bought in the amazon box. But say if you wanted to gift it you will have to find a separate box that fits.

    Giving one star for impractical use, which is disappointing. The only thing this would be good for is a decoration or a young girl who likes to play tea party with cold water (or no water).

    I received the teapot last week and love how adorable it looks! Unfortunately, there are some design flaws that hold it back from being truly functional. As other reviewers have noted, when pouring out the first cup and of tea (I can get two mugs of tea from one pot), it dribbles some tea. Not a big deal if you use a tray, but an inconvenience. More significantly, the handle of the teapot gets so hot when it is filled that you can hardly touch it. I've had to wrap things around it just to pick up the teapot and pour. Overall, I like how it looks, but it isn't the most functional teapot.

    Ich wollte fürs Büro eine Teekanne haben weil ich einen sehr hohen Teekonsum habe. Und dazu wollte ich Deko haben um meinen Schreibtisch aufzuhübschen. Diese Teekanne fand ich die perfekte Kombination. Sie sieht live genauso aus wie auf dem Foto, wirklich süß. Dafür, dass sie so klein ist, ist es auch erstaunlich wie viel reinpasst, sie ist halt sehr bauchig. Bei mir passen genau 3 Tassen rein, also etwa 900ml.
    Das einzige Manko ist, dass die Öffnung oben so klein ist, dass es schwer ist sie von Hand zu spülen. Wenn man keine Spülmaschine hat braucht man dafür schon einen Flaschenreiniger.
