    My grandkids were captivated by the movie and it was fairly pleasant for adults, even if entirely predictable. There were enough cultural reference gems for us older adults to enjoy spotting them and quizzing each other on what we just saw/heard, but not so many that it felt like they were cramming them in there.

    It's a decent story and in line with the previous version, a few years earlier. I think what was so refreshing about it is that it was JUST A STORY... a movie... entertainment, and it never felt like any Hollywood script writer was using it as a subtle political tool or moral propaganda like so many movies these days. That alone makes it worthy and leaves the cringe factor out of it.

    Weil ich Fan des ersten Films war, habe ich mich schon auf den 2. Teil gefreut. Und das zurecht...
    Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich nicht erwartet das es einen 2. Teil gibt.
    Als ich aber mal auf Youtube unterwegs war, habe ich in der Werbung den Trailer gesehen.
    Und dann war klar: Ich geh rein!
    Gut, jetzt aber zum Film. Der Film hat einen...na ja...ziemlich gleichen Aufbau wie bei dem ersten Film. Aber die Handlung hingegen ist anders!
    Weil ich jetzt nicht die ganze Handlung aufschreiben will, was unter anderem auch in der Beschreibung steht und jeder der eine Rezension schreibt es sich eigentlich auch sparen kann, komme ich gleich zur Zusammenfassung.
    Der Film ist sehr schön und detailreich animiert und die Charaktere sind eigentlich genauso wie in dem ersten Film, was ich persönlich eigentlich gar nicht so schlecht finde.
    Ein paar neue kommen dazu, aber das ist auch nicht schlecht. Z.b. der Schwiegervater von Blue, also Jewels Vater, die ganze Art von Blauaras, etc.
    Jetzt kommt aber mein einziger Kritikpunkt, weil sich wirklich viele darum gestritten haben.
    Z.b auf Youtube bei dem Trailer des Films.
    Fast alle finden das der Entwickler mehr oder weniger das Konzept des ersten Films TOTAL zerstört hat!
    Im ersten Film sagen sie: Die letzten 2 ihrer Art! Und in diesem Film finden sie die ganze Herde wieder und das sind wirklich, wirklich viele!
    Das ist zwar eine gute und überraschende Handlung, hat das Konzept aber ziemlich zerstört auch wenns nicht das Hauptthema war und hat deshalb viele Fans verloren. (Ist wirklich so!)
    Ich selbst finde, das es durchaus okay ist das sie andere ihrer Art finden, nur müsste das nicht eine ganze HERDE sein mit über 100 Tieren, sondern vielleicht nur ein paar. Aber schon zu spät!
    Im Fazit also ein schöner, gelungener Film. Ich drücke die Daumen für eine 3. Fortsetzung!
