I'm really kind of impressed with this. I read all the reviews and almost didn't order it as I was afraid it would be too flimsy. Hardly!
The Hydrofarm Tomato Trellis is really well formed, easily put together, and seems very sturdy. It's very easy to move around, and is easy to work with in general.
I put it together and put a couple bags of dirt in it quickly as we had storms coming. The Hydrofarm stayed in place and took the storm like a trooper. I've since had surgery and have not been able to put my tomatoes in it yet, but will soon.
It's quite deep and could easily have numerous uses. However, I don't suspect that the hard plastic will last more than a year or 2. But for the price, that's fine.
I'm building an exterior garden room and will eventually put this at the entry with my raised beds towards the back of the room. It will be fun to go pick my salad from my "room".
This particular Hydrofarm will have my cherry tomatoes in it. I would highly recommend this product if you have limited space to work with. It's cute and a lot sturdier than discussed in other reviews. I'm glad I got it.
Update: I put a couple seeds of zucchini on one end and a couple seeds of yellow summer squash on the other, with a cherry tomato in the middle. Everything is growing excellently. They love the organic soil and the magical rain. I love this Hydrofarm!!

Realistic plant quantities for the 10 gallon tomato
I bought this to plant my extra jalapeño and sweet pepper plants because I ran out of space in my raised bed planters. From reading some reviews and answered questions, I expected to be able to fit at least 3 pepper plants in this planter. Now that I am seeing it in person, it ideally would fit just 2 at maturity and with proper spacing. (I should have known based on the 10 gallon size, but I was lazy and relied more on its product photo and a buyer’s video, which makes it look huge!) For peppers, I should have bought a container that was wider rather than taller, as this container is really designed for tomatoes that need a deeper container. That being said, I’m going to still squeeze 3 pepper plants in here and hope for the best because I don’t want to buy another container! As far as tomatoes: this would fit 1 tomato plant at best, ideally a determinate type that won’t grow that large. I still think this 10 gallon self watering container is a good enough buy. The water reservoir is deep enough to assure a good supply of water if you need to leave town for a couple days. I love the built-in wheels and it feels sturdy overall. I am not going to use the trellis this year, so I can’t review that feature. But overall, I would still buy this.

This tomato barrel is super powering my plant growth. In just one week my plant has doubled in size. I got these plants (cucumber and tomato) from a local farmers market. I was really worried that these plants would not make it because I kept them in the tiny plastic container they came in while I searched for a permanent pot. I have used a topsy turvy in the past, but I did not have a reliable way to hang them (Shepard's hook fell over and broke my plants 2 years ago). It took me two weeks to settle on this barrel. I am so happy that I did. The plants were looking very weak by the time I ordered and received them. As you can see from my photo the plants are thriving and are growing at an exponential rate. I am very happy with this item. I just told my husband I might need to add another tier because it is growing so fast. I will report back on how it holds up once it is producing tons of veggies.

My tomato plant thrives on/in this planter so I bought a second one for my pepper plant and he’s happy too! It’s really easy to put together, easy to water from the bottom and looks exactly as described.
