- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 August 2014A solid and well made pair of scissors.
I used them straight after getting them, though more designed for hair. I found that these dealt great with my beard hair, which is fairly coarse due to my Indian heritage. The grip rings are comfortable and they're easily held and used. The blade are curved slightly into one another providing a cutting surface from the pin joint to the tip of the blades. A very good buy..well worth the funds as a hairdressing friend of mine said that there was little difference between these and her £40 professional ones.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 May 2017I can't pretend to know a great deal about the finer points of hairdressing scissors as my hair far exceeds average length. However, these scissors are nicely built and cut hair with simple ease. They're a good price.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2013I've just received the Manicare 16.5cm Hairdressing Scissors. Solidly and attractively designed, I took them for an immediate test-drive! I'd purchased them to do tidy-up trims after using my Philips beard-trimmer, and to trim my sideburns (in between haircuts) etc. Trimmed the sideburns fine, but struggled trimming along the line of my lips. I'm going to get them sharpened (especially the tips) and try again, but they seem designed more for straight forward haircuts then precision, intricate trimming.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 January 2018Not sure why these scissors have received low star reviews claiming they are not sharp. The pair I have are very sharp and definitely enough to cut hair and leave a smooth cut. I was impressed they are actually a decent pair of hairdressing scissors for only £5, had them for a few months now and they are still sharp enough to cut hair. The little plastic pouch it came with is also good for storing without damaging anything else

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 July 2016Reading the other reviews, it seems you either get the good ones or get unlucky. I got unlucky, mine barely cut my fringe, and were so poorly made you could see light between the blades when the scissors were shut. I don't think the blades were blunt, it was just that they didn't actually meet well. However, Amazon were great and I got a refund. I am now looking for more expensive scissors that actually work as I am not risking cheap ones again. My poundland scissors cut my fringe better than these ones did! Good luck to anyone else risking buying these, you are in a lottery for the good ones.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2012Bought these scissors as times are hard & I didn't see the point in spending £12 for a quick trim so rather than go to a salon used these at home & was really pleased with the result. Would recommend them- great item & fantastic value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Coupe nette
Très bons ciseaux qui coupent très bien sans casser le cheveu. La coupe est nette. Attention à ne jamais utiliser les ciseaux de coiffure pour couper autre chose que des cheveux sinon ils sont fichus 😂

1.0 out of 5 stars Nicht benutzbar! Scharten in den Schneiden! Klappering!
