CD - 14 TRACKS - EAN 5050466926821- HILARY DUFF -LIZZIE MCGUIRE-SO YESTERDAY
Amazon.co.uk
Although Hilary Duff's first album is titled Metamorphosis, the disc is anything but. Her singing is as coy and kittenish as her on-screen "Lizzie McGuire" persona and she mugs her way through most of the 13 songs with charm and aplomb, but little natural singing talent. To her credit, the actress has managed to cover a multitude of vocal sins by hiring a team of crack producers who double her voice whenever possible, giving many of the tracks the rather anthemic feel of a cheerleading squad. The best songs on the disc are the three masterminded by the Matrix, the same production team that oversaw Avril Lavigne's Let Go. They give the actress's singing some attitude and grit, as on the infectious and spectacularly bratty "So Yesterday" and the cleverly conceived "The Math", complete with heavy-metal guitar riffs. But Duff is not inhabiting that saucy jailbait territory staked by Britney Spears. At the ripe old age of 16, she's much more Barbies than bustiers. --Jaan Uhelszki

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente
Si eres fan de Hilary, su primer trabajo no puede faltar. Tiene tintes adolescentes, pero la sigo considerando la mejor chica disney hasta el momento. Incluye canciones iconicas.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Debut!
For Hilary's debut album in 2003, this could not have come at a better time. Almost all of the songs on the album are fun to listen along and dance to, while there are a few mellow ones as well, like my personal favorite, "Come Clean". This CD channels feel-good vibes and embraces a positive outlook on life and living in the moment. Whether you're rocking out to this CD with a group of friends, or just jamming alone in your room, this is one amazing album you will feel great about no matter how many times you listen to it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Muy buen debut de Hilary Duff
