- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2024Color: MulticolorVerified PurchaseThis was my first time using air dry clay, but it had great reviews and I have it a try. It worked perfect on a diorama piece I was working on. I made a wire frame tree and covered it with the sculpey. This is a very large tree and I had to do it in stages. The clay starts to dry fairly quickly, but even after it was completely dried, I was able to work new clay onto the armature and blend it onto the older material. It came out perfect and takes paint nicely ! I definitely recommend this product!

used some paint brush handles as well as my fingers for sculpting the clay, to manipulate it into forest floor terrain. It felt like it could be durable already, after the first day of sculpting it. After I coated and painted it, and slapped a plastic folder on the bottom, it felt durable. I am impressed with it. The clay does shrink and bend however when it dries, so when I saw that on the bottom I had to get more clay and add it the bottom until it dried flat and even with the table surface.
To paint this clay, I first coated it with matte gel medium, then I let it dry. I painted the clay with 3 brown coats, to make sure the white doesn't show the paint. I then mixed a lighter brown and gave it a wash in some spots, using a paper towel to wipe off the excess paint.
For the thing I used to put the clay on, I had a plastic packaging piece from a Jurassic world toy, and shoved some tortilla shell bags inside and taped it shut. I cut out a black plastic folder for the bottom, and used super glue to glue it on, this is a harder step. I did the same with some foam for the final step to complete the bottom. I did all this after painting it.
5.0 out of 5 starsI bought this clay to use it for a Jurassic Park Dilophosaurus diorama. When I first opened it, IExcellent results, durable clay

- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2025Color: MulticolorVerified PurchaseIm used to polymer clay or the foam air dry clay. Ive been wanting to switch to air dry for the ability to recycle plastic however.
Made a snail for a test. Im aware you need to use slip to connect pieces with air dry, however i did it the way i do with polymer clay just to see. No surprise but didn't work lol.
However when the snail dryed it was pretty strong! I dropped and threw it on the hard wood floors and no damage. I then tried to break it with my fingers and it was surprisingly flexible! I'll still be careful sculpting but hey.
Using the snail to prepare some slip now hopefully it works!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2024Color: MulticolorVerified PurchaseI got this because honestly I was afraid of polymer clay as I've never used it. This stuff impressed me mostly for the amount it can be carved after drying. You can really refine details and shapes, which I didn't expect from an air dry clay.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super quality clay, recommended for professional use.
Color: MulticolorVerified PurchaseReally impressed with this product. It handles well and is not brittle when cured like DAS air dry clay for example. It’s a really super quality clay suitable for professional use and amateur use alike. Great results and accepts a wide variety of paints and glosses.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best
Color: MulticolorVerified PurchaseFantastic stuff. I highly recommend it. Way better than any other air dry clay. It’s so much easier to work with in your hands and is smooth soft without having to ply with lots of water. The BEST .
