you should be using purified water with any of the formulas. but distilled will do if that is all you have on hand.

I use tapwater and my baby has had no problems. I know it depends on where you are but my doctor did not tell me to be too choosy

can we mix powdered formula with Ozarka brand natural spring water, or is distilled water better? We are using s=Similac Expert Care Neosure

All of our infant formulas are made with the same amount of iron. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children under the age of 12 months of age consume breast milk or/and iron-fortified Infant Formula. Glad the 5 can limit is gone, made it tough sometimes, it's a good formula for a preemie. Down side, it's a little expensive compared to other brands.

I'm thankful for this Brand of Formula!
When i gave birth to my premature baby i was concerned about his weight, but thanks to Similac 22 calories, they have a brand aimed for preemie's like mine,
so Thank You Similac.

Preemie Food

My preemie daughter has exclusively used Similac NeoSure since birth. She is thriving andnhad surpised her Drs with how quickly she caught up to full term babies on the growth scale. My baby went from being small in preemie clothes to beingntonbit for 6-9 month clothes by thebtime she reached 4 months. I contribute a lotnof that to this formula.
Only downside is because of the high iron content we did struggle with constipation until her stomach matured more.

Great for growth

My daughter was born a month early and was only 4lbs 12 oz. She spent 10 days in the NICU and they sent her home on this formula. She has been gaining weight very well and thriving on this formula. I just wish it came in a larger container. It mixes well and doesn't stain.

Excellent for preemies

Worked really well for the first two weeks out of the hospital. Made our smaller baby gain good weight. But by week 3 he began developing colic symptoms and pediatrician recommended we switch. 

Kinda bummed since I liked that he was gaining a lot of weight.

Worked for a bit

This formula is made for premature babies because it is the highest calorie formula. My baby started this formula while she was in the NICU and she had a very hard time burping on it so she'd scream and cry because the formula was causing her to have extra gas that could not escape. Overall I do like this formula, but I am giving it 3 out of 5 stars due to the fact that my child had backup gas that could not escape. Once we switched to another formula created for premature babies, my daughter was able to burp and she didn't have any more gas. Her gas build up from ingesting Similac NeoSure for premature babies is why I chose to give this product 3 out of 5 stars.

This formula gave my baby very bad gas.
