I'm in the process of sitting up an indoor garden in 3 Eastern facing windows. Even though I love plants, I found that their care was taking a LOT of time!! These self-watering containers have solved the problem. Not only are the Lechuza containers functional, they are extremely attractive. While most plants (some one might not consider) can be grown in these self-watering pots, I don't put succulents in them. But succulents and cacti do not need to be watered that often. I own several versions of the Lechuzas: a window box, two hanging planters, a really large floor model for my palm and various tabletop sizes. I'll order more as needed.
The Lechuza planters are strong, well designed and well built. For instance, the hanging pots come with wire hangers. Before finding Lechuza, I had to return a self-watering pot that had flimsy plastic holders attached to the hanging mechanism. I doubt it would have held up until I walked out of the room! Anyway, I highly recommend the family of Lechuza self-watering pots/planters. They do cost more BUT they are indeed worth every penny!!
