This is a great microphone to use as a gamer. Works well with Teamspeak, although you may have to change TS capture to "always record" so that it doesn't cut out. Doesn't have static or miscellaneous sounds (popping, hissing, etc). However, it is sensitive even when the mic boost is disabled - i.e. it will pick up the vibrations my computer sends through the desk that the mic is standing on, but its fixed with some foam under the legs. Speaking of legs, they swing out and are very sturdy.
I highly recommend this mic and a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 pros instead of a gaming headset

Nice first microphone
I wanted to start doing voiceovers so I needed a Mic. I didn't have a lot of money to start with and this is SUPER budget friendly. I purchased a stand that mounts to my desk, but the one this comes with is very nice as well. The sound quality is very nice and it blocks out the sound from my floor fan I always have running in the room. It picks up your voice nicely at 8 - 12 inches away and is very good quality at 4 inches without being too loud. I do not need a sock over it as I saw someone else post. Then again, I may not be fussy for sound, but if you want a nice mic with a nice-length USB cord, this is a good bang for your buck.
