    I have played every Lego so far and this game ranks up near the top for me and my wife. The two harry Potter games are at the top but this one is fighting with the first batman and Indiana Jones for the third spot. Let's start by saying that I haven't seen the Lego movie but the story was great and there are a lot memorable characters in the game. The cut scenes and the locations the game is set in is a lot of fun and variety is top notch. This lego game is not a long as the last few that have been released but that's not a totally bad thing. It is easy to play with friends and it is not as frustrating as say Batman 2 or Marvels. The playing is easy and is not too overwhelming.

    The game is gorgeous and the sound is done well. After playing the game I think we will watch the movie at some point. The game I would say is accessible to players of all ages and ability levels. Getting 100% and all the achievements wasn't too time consuming and I think we completed the game in about 20-30 hours.

    We really enjoyed this Lego game and it is one of the better ones. You will not regret buying this game and you can thank me later.

    I will admit that I'm not very proficient when it comes to games like this. I will play them occasionally with my children, but I'm not very good at them. So, this is a review based on talking to my 6 and ten year old:

    Do you like the game?
    YES! (6 year old) Yes! It's Fun! (10 year old)

    What do you do?
    We go on missions-like Cloud Cuckoo land. And we Battle Lord Dunmore. (10 year old) There is also a Lord President! (6 year old)

    Who is the main character?
    Emmett is the main character

    Is it hard?
    Some missions are medium, but some are hard. Not very many, only one or two (10 year old)

    So from this interview I can deduce that Emmet, the little guy from the movie, is the main character, and you go on missions. Some you figure out puzzles, or build crazy things. You can also collect characters by finding coins, and then trading said coins in. Apparently in some missions you need to be a Master Builder.

    With three teenagers in the house, I like games like this for my two younger boys. They are still playing with some cool characters, but the 'violence' is toned down and age appropriate.

I have to say that the different phases are very fun to play, very creative and there are so many different characters that you can use as you move to the next level. It is a great kid game!

    Amazing Amazon just dropped this game off about 10 min ago, amazing first I purchased this game not noticing it stated an extra 2 days to process. So I was outraged because I did not notice this indication, long story short I spoke to Amazon they got it here 2 days earlier what did I say Amazing Amazon. Anyway just inside of 10 min or so my 2 kids are playing this game just wish I could play instead of just watch but I will wait a few days to get my turn to play LOL. So far what a great game love the characters and graphics.

    We enjoy all the LEGO games at our house, and as fans of The LEGO Movie, this was an expected addition to our video game library.

    GOOD FOR YOUNGER PLAYERS
    It's not as challenging as many of the other LEGO games out there, but that's a good thing for my son. As a five-year-old, he was able to play nearly every level (and replay them) without an adult's help. Although we often played together, it was good to know that he didn't need me to solve every puzzle or perform a particularly tricky maneuver for him every five minutes.

    LOTS OF CONTENT
    The game has all of the memorable characters from the movie (even many with small cameos). The levels are often based on filling in the gaps between movie scenes. For example, what happened in between the time that the submarine began to sink and the team floated to the top of the water in Emmett's coach? There's a whole underwater level that tells that story. Many of the levels are like this, so they add to the movie's storyline rather than simply retelling it.

    SUMMARY
    Just like any LEGO game, there is lots to do after the final level is complete, but the replay missions here are significantly much easier. So if you're buying this for a young player, you'll be pleased. If you're buying it for an adult, don't expect more than a week or two before you hit 100% completion.

    While I have enjoyed the other lego video games, I didn't like this. It was okay, way better than Lego City, which was stupid. But it is really for kids. I have finished all of the other lego games and got my 1000 gamer points per game - but it took awhile and was fun to do. This was so easy I got through it in almost no time at all. Kids will love this. But if you are looking for deep gameplay, this won't take you more than a day to finish completely.
