Yes, it does...it has a warming feature that keeps the rice warm for about an hour after cooking is finished, as well.

Just to clarify, it will shut off when the cooking cycle is finished but you will still have to unplug it eventually as it will continue on the warming cycle until it&#39;s unplugged.

There is not a steam basket. It is strictly a rice cooker.

mine *did not* come with a steaming basket, I wish it had. But realistically, I probably wouldn&#39;t use it much as I bought this primarily to cook rice.

I have been experimenting with cooking over the past 2 years and rice is something I've been struggling with. It always turned out too "gummy". The first time I used this rice cooker, I had perfect rice and it was incredibly easy to make. I also made the rice with this and then easily turned it into fried rice and it was amazing. Definitely a game changer for my cooking.

The best rice cooker!

Honestly making a great pot of rice couldn't get much easier than this. I've never had a dedicated rice cooker but have used my instant pot many times with the rice button. But this is sooooo easy! One button easy! As long as you can read directions on how much rice to water ratio, you will have perfect rice or grains. I made arroz con leche and it came out perfect. I used 6 cups water to 3 cups long grain white rice and added some sugar and cinnamon sticks, hit the cook button and in about 25 minutes I had perfectly soft but not too soft rice. I finished up with my remaining ingredients and had a warm, delicious dessert. I've also been on the Aroma recipe site looking at some incredible ways to use my rice cooker. From soups to pancakes. Who knew? Not only am I impressed with this appliance, I think I'm more impressed with the company and what they stand for. They are US company with exceptional values. Hard to find in this day and age.

Almost fool-proof rice cooker

This rice cooker is really amazing. The measurements are right in the pot, so it's as simple as putting in how ever many cups of rice you want, filling water to the right line, and pressing a button. This one comes with the spoon and vegetable steamer too, which we are using to steam vegetables for our infant who is just starting solids. It is also extremely easy to clean and is dishwasher safe. I am so happy I found this incredibly easy way to cook rice

Truly the easiest rice

Perfect rice maker. Super easy to use. Has a measuring cup and spatula included. No extra tools need to make the perfect rice. It has the non stick inner pot that the rice just slips right out of when serving. I love the glass see through lid. Very nice looking when on your counter. It will even keep your rice warm after cooking.

Great Rice Cooker

I love this little Aroma 6 cup rice cooker.  Perfect for a meal for two or a couple meals for one person.  Small enough to take up minimal space on a counter or in a cupboard.  It has a cook function and a warm function.  Comes with a measuring cup for your uncooked rice and a scoop so you don't damage the inside of your cooker.  Made in China.

A Must Have In the Kitchen

This rice cooker is a decent and compact rice cooker that does a pretty good at cooking rice. It's smaller in term of size and not too heavy. It can cook rice well as long as you follow the water cup measurement correctly. It can cook up to 6 cup, which is decent for a family of 4. I used it without any problem, it's plug and use, no direction needed unless you're a complete newbie. In addition to rice, it can be used for other food as well, such as making beef stew, but it's best with rice. One down side is the the outside feel plastic-y and cheap, hence why the price isn't too expensive. I would recommend this rice cooker for those that need new ones and give this a 5/5. For those that want quality rice cooker, I'd recommend other brands.

Nice and compact rice cooker

This Aroma Rice and Grain Cooker is a lot bigger than my much smaller rice cooker and there are so many benefits of this much larger cooker. First of all it came very well packaged and i noticed once I removed the glass lid that this cooker also included a steamer basket. the pot itself has a 5 layer bonded nonstick surface perfect so rice won't stick to it. Of course this also included the rice serving paddle and rice measuring cup. What's nice is you can make veggies in top wall while steaming your rice right beneath it. With the very large family that I have having this size cooker means I can not only make rice but full meals in under 30 minutes. Chicken and veggies on top while making rice underneath! Or I can make asian meals such as dumplings on top with rice underneath. This pot is much more versatile than my smaller rice and grain cooker. Makes a great holiday or housewarming gift!

The inner basket is really lightweight, which I am very grateful for as it makes washing easier. This rice cooker is very durable, and everything I make in it has come out perfect so far. It includes a steam basket, which I use to make steamed vegetables. My rice came out fluffy and perfect after using this cooker, and I like how quickly it cooks. This came with a measuring cup and spatula, and I was very happy about that, leaving me with one less thing to worry about. I also like that when it's done, the switch flips itself and automatically starts warming the rice. Overall, this is a great rice cooker that I would recommend.

Works great and very easy to use!

This Aroma 20-Cup Rice Cooker/Steamer REALLY impressed me!  The directions are clear and concise, and the rice turned out perfectly cooked and delicious.  I also steamed bok choy in the steamer basket,  and that turned out perfectly as well.

A few tips:  it's imperative that you rinse the rice at LEAST twice, or the starch will cause the water to boil over and spit (I learned that the hard way with my last unit).  It's also important to know that the measuring cup that comes with the unit is NOT the standard US one cup:  it's the universal "cup" used for measuring rice; it's actually ¾ of a cup.  

Follow the directions, and you'll finally have perfect rice every time!
