Fair at Best
Hard to set up,, puts lots of crap on computer you don't need,, changes your home page, and didn't ask. \It is not really hard to set up, but pay attention to what everything says.. it sneaks lots of crap you don't need.. I just needed a printer and scanner,, the list of other crap goes on forever. Quick shipping and the price is cheap,, quality of the pictures is just "OK" I will be looking for a great price on something else in the next 6 months.. Price of ink is expensive,, about 28 for each.. when you put ink in it takes for ever for it to find it (about 4 min) and another 6 to 10 min for it to print something. OK on the price 38.84 or close.. anyway IT COMES WITH NO INK.. so add 40 to 50 buck to get it up and running.. Don't make my mistake and have to wait another week to have someone send the inks. Better printers out there but will have to wait for a better price (Christmas, or black Friday) Oh yeah, very limited range on the wi-fi printing (mine is 3 to 4 feet.) Good Luck.. I miss my HP3050, it jammed and crapped out when I pulled the jam out,, not fixable..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Defective, but Canon May Make It Right
Mine was defective out of the box. The print head alignment procedure would not work. Canon has sent replacement ink cartridges as a first step, and promised to replace the printer if that doesn't work. Good for the price
The setup was a production, especially since no manuals were included. It kept dropping the WiFi signal until we figured out the printer was too close to the router. It works good, a little slow but good for the occasional print job. I would not recommend for frequent or normal print use. The print quality is very good, ink is kind of pricey and that’s the generic. My biggest annoyance is it frequently goes to sleep, requiring the on/off switch to get going. Good little printer, scanner & fax machine
Good printer with good quality prints. The downside is the ink is expensive and the ink cartridges hold a small quantity of ink. Also there is no manual but rather an online manual which is inadequate. It is very difficult to determine if print quality problems are the result of a bad cartridge or a dirty print head. Good printer to have for home used if u are not going to print on a regular basic. Very good quality printer prints everything real clean and colorful. Had a hard time to set it up because the first thing is that my dell laptop do not take CD to download the system. So I had to go on line and download the material, and install it that way but it took a long time before I finally got it to work properly. Slightly complicatred, but well worth the trouble.
This printer is actually pretty good for such a cheap price. At the cost of the ink, having the whole printer is a red flag, but as with most Canon products, it is not bad quality, and works well. The setup is more complicated since there is a fax machine to hook up, but if you just follow the ques you will get thru the setup fine. I get an error of Paper Abrasion set or unset. But that is a warning on the speed of printing, and may be needed if using cheep paper. The Printer actually uses generic ink as well as if it was name brand Canon, and the WiFi printing is a great option.
