It plays 4K Blu-ray Discs and streaming 4K content in native 4K. Games are in 1080p, but select games support HDR10 colors.

it plays 4k dvd, I have xmen apocalypse 4k ultra blu ray and it plays it but you must have a 4k tv to get the 4k resolution

The Xbox One S has true 4k video playback abilities. The only thing it upscales is 4k gaming using fhd.

Does XBOX One S Play 4K DVDs or just Up convert Bluray to 4K?

I have had my Advanced Warfare 1TB Xbox 1 for 3 years now, I am just now noticing it's aging. The fan will run a little louder from time to time and it will get a little hot, but nothing that suggests that I will be needing a new console anytime soon (unless I was to upgrade).

I ordered this as a gift for my children.  For others like me who don’t know a lot about Xbox, this one is a smaller one.  If you want to be able to have several games downloaded on the system at once, you might be better off buying the system with larger storage or buying extra storage for this one.  Also, if you are looking at this for a Christmas gift, you might want to set it up so to speak before wrapping it up.  The system needs updates (I found out by reading reviews) and a lot of games need updates before they can be played.  Depending on your internet connection, this can take some time to download.  The updates can be pretty big, which is why you may want to consider extra storage if you want a lot of games on the system at a time.  Also, there was a code that came with it for 14 day’s free of XBox Live.  If you want Xbox Live beyond that, you have to subscribe.  For my personal experience, the system was pretty easy to set up and navigate.  It took a while to download the updates to the system and the game I went ahead and installed.  I would say an hour and half for both updates.  All in all, this was a pretty good buy.  Also, it only comes with one wireless controller.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It was at a decent price and was delivered in a timely manner. It as easy to set up, and my account settings transferred without a problem. Some of my old 360 games actually worked on this xbox one, however, I had to buy an additional controller as my xbox 360 controllers would not work on this xbox one. I was able to find a 12 month xbox live gold membership on line. Some of the more expensive xbox ones included it with their unit.  I also purchased a separate 2 TB storage device. The 500K included with the unit I bought simply was not adequate.  If I had to do it over again, I would have gone with the unit that had included the additional storage.

Excited for it

This item was used, we had to delete another persons profile from the unit. It works fine but was sold for full price and not disclosed that it was previously owned.

felt scammed

This device made a horrendous noise right out of the box. Microsoft wanted to charge $179 to service a brand new item. I had to return it... Walmarts service on the return was professional and helpful.

Do not buy

I was expecting a new Xbox, or at least in its original box with all the documents and warranties. Instead, I received an all-hit box and directly inside the Xbox One in between bubblewrap with the impression that it was used. I really don't understand. The xbox is working but the heat fan makes a high noise that I don't believe is normal.  The company is GFL Online. At least send me the original box.

Expected New Xbox got an open box used one.
