I think I paid under $8 for mine. Maybe $6.99?

I live in Chicago and paid approximately $4.

I paid $3.95 online and picked up at the store.

I posted earlier that I paid $3.95. I actually paid $2.78. With tax it came out to $3.01.

I've seen it on other places and Walmart's price is the best right now. some even sell it as high as $9 under another brand name, but same exact stuff.

Apparently you have to force it down. I found no release button. Poor quality. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Lock

My two sons are in Boys' Scouts and needed and used this for camping and it served its purpose. I recommend it for anyone who loves carrying their own utensils.

Functional and Essential

For the price, this combo can't be beat! The two pieces also lock together for storage. The knife is more like a Swiss Army knife, not a butter knife. The fork and spoon fold down, but still stick out. I purchased two of these, one for each of my scouts. It was cheaper then some plastic versions and much better quality.

Great buy for the cost

It's just very easy to keep and use. I live simply, but have a tendency to litter the house with spoons, so this has been a game changer for me. I love the fact that it has a keychain so I can put it on a carabiner. I may even make a little pouch for it. My only complaints are that it does not include a spreader/butter knife (though the spoon works well enough for that) and that the fork tines are squared and blunt. Maybe I'll sharpen them. It was a little tricky to snap the halves together the first time, but I have not even needed to unsnap it, since.

I use this as my main silverware all the time, now

I purchased the Ozark Trail Tool while taking my three boys on their first camping trip. I have used mine in the past and it has held up better than I expected for the price. Both packaged units fit together with little effort and fold up to a size that will allow you to store it in most Mess Kits or attach to your pack via the O-Ring. The Can Opener tool is my only complaint but will suffice if needed and if you have the patience to use it :)
For the minimalist it is the perfect tool for the price.

Perfect for Casual Camper

This is exactly the item I had been looking for and it came from an unexpected manufacturer. I stumbled upon this on a late night Walmart browsing trip and it's perfect for my needs. I was blown away by the number of items like this elsewhere that put the fork and knife on the same side, thus not allowing you to cut what you're eating. This one solves it all at a fraction of the cost.

Excellent utensil.

I keep this in my gear bag as it is much better than plastic utensils.  As a previous commenter said, lefties must be cautious cutting with the fork.  You have to turn it over when cutting so the fork doesn't fold up.  All stainless easy to clean and compact.   You would be amazed at the prices they charge elsewhere for similar sets.

good product, great price

This clever tool is not only functional for camping and travel, but also a mainstay in my daily lunch box! The only drawback is that when cleaning the tool, if you immerse it in water and let it air dry, it rusts! So, be sure to avoid getting water on the interior mechanism. Fortunately, it is affordable, so I've already replaced the one that rusted.

Clever, convenient, affordable

This is set is great for the average person, but for you southpaws out there, be careful! Don't try to cut anything with the fork if you are left-handed. I learned the hard way. There is no locking mechanism, so the fork will fold up into your fingers/knuckles. OUCH!!!!

Lefties beware

if your going to camp.. and pack light

not fancy, but does the job. if you're looking for value and price, this is it. if your looking for color/ fancy, try something else.

The cork screw is just there for show; First time I tried to use it, the entire utensil fell apart. Store replaced it, but afraid to try the cork screw again. Also got cut on the plastic packaging.
